8 Scpia Desktp Knwn Issues Table 2: List f knwn Scpia Desktp issues in this versin Case Number (160064) 953 Descriptin f issue If using Windws 8 and 8.1, yu must install the Scpia Desktp Client frm the Desktp interface. When in Metr, Internet Explrer 10 and up will suggest using the Desktp interface t use Scpia Desktp. Yu need t restart Outlk after uninstalling r upgrading the Outlk Add-in. If yu uninstall r upgrade the Outlk Add-in, the ld Add-in still appears in the Outlk interface and pens a blank windw when clicked. Restart Outlk t see the change in the Outlk Add-in. After uninstalling Scpia Desktp, make sure t manually remve the fllwing flders: C:\Prgram Files\Avaya\Scpia Desktp C:\Prgram Files\Avaya\.bak On Internet Explrer 10 and up, the links n the prtal page t Check Yur Audi and Check Yur Vide d nt wrk. As a wrkarund, frm the Start menu, chse Cnference Client > Settings. In the settings dialg, switch t the desired Audi r Vide tab. If yu intend t hst a large number f participants (100+) in a single cnference, yu need t increase the default heap size allcated fr Scpia Desktp. T d this, change the registry: HKLM\Sftware\Click t Meet\Cnference server\ \ Add a new DWORD key, VirtualHeapSize and set the value t the amunt f pre-allcated memry desired. We recmmend is set as decimal. The Scpia Desktp Client will nt be able t send private chat messages t Scpia Mbile Clients they d nt appear private chat drp-dwn windw. T make mdificatins such as branding, Windws 2008 requires the same administratr credentials that were used during the Scpia Desktp Server installatin Nte that if nly HTTPS Prxy is cnfigured (n HTTP prxy) and the HTTPS Prxy requires authenticatin, the username and passwrd must be cnfigured manually in the System Preferences (fr Mac client) r the Scpia Desktp Settings (fr Windws client) in rder fr the client t cnnect prperly The Mac client will wrk with HTTP prxies. Hwever, If multiple prxies are returned in the PAC file, Scpia Desktp will nly try t cnnect t the first ne in the list The Mac Client supprts Basic and Digest HTTP prxy authenticatin nly. NTLM, Kerbers, and Negtiate authenticatin are nt supprted. This can cause call failures when wrking with ISA prxy that requires authenticatin. NTLM Authenticatin is supprted by the Windws client ( ) On Windws, when the Scpia Desktp Client is viewing the vide in full-screen, the menu ptins might appear ff screen. If this happens, the same menu ptins are available frm a cntext menu, s simply right-click n the vide t view the cntext menu If Scpia Desktp and Scpia Management are installed n the same server, d nt enable TLS encryptin between the tw services, as it can cause prblems (and TLS encryptin is nt needed in this case, since they are running n the same server) When using the lad balancer, the client is redirected t a new server if the current server is full. This wrks well fr the standard client, but nt fr mini. Internet Explrer frbids this redirectin t prtect the user frm malicius cde injectin int the frame.

9 T wrk arund this issue, be sure t add the IP address f the lad balancer t the trusted sites list in Internet Explrer settings When sharing an applicatin using the Windws client, sme areas nt belnging t the applicatin might be shared. The Scpia Desktp Mac Client is nt cmpatible with custmizatin changes made frm the branding applicatin. When H.239 Du Vide is enabled in the advanced parameter settings f the Scpia Elite MCU, it culd result in n vide t Scpia Desktp users if call rate is less than 512K. Make sure t turn ff this MCU setting when using Scpia Desktp. (CS 11500) 3391 If a user changes their cmputer s reslutin while watching a presentatin, n sme machines the presentatin disappears (and is replaced by the remte vide). Restring the reslutin will restre the presentatin The HP Elite Autfcus web camera shws pinks bands in the picture. Eventually, the picture freezes. Please check n the HP site fr an updated driver. 670 In MAC client smetimes presentatin icn next t the terminals and remte clients is missing Nt always after the restart f a SDS server the cnfsrv.exe services starts autmatically - Set the service startup mde t delayed if available, r start the services manually. Even thugh Outlk Plug in is cnfigured t HTTPs (as SDS server), the invitatin mail is send with HTTP - G t the Admin page -> Messages and Invitatins -> Invitatins Under Desktp Access change http t https N Vide Between XT5000 and SDC SW service - Supprting switching mde requires Scpia Desktp and MCU t align with the BW. Windws client: when changing the audi device during call, the client might get stuck. There is a need t kill the CuCre CAxHst thrugh the task manager. Custmized TLS between Scpia Management and SDS server perfrmed is erased after upgrading SDS t a newer versins - Befre upgrade the user need t save: C:\Prgram Files\AVAYA\SCOPIA Desktp\data\sds.keystre After the upgrade need t replace the new file with the ld ne SDS pens HD capable channel n behalf f TCP client taking a full prt Chsing a MCU service t mute participants when jining cnnects SD clients with micrphne un-muted even thugh they are muted - Need t g t Scpia Management r as a mderatr - un mute the client. After a full uninstall sme flders and files are left n the SDS server - The user need t manually delete the files at: C:\Prgram Files (x86)\radvisin\scopia Desktp Uninstallatin f Scpia Desktp Server leaves flder and lg files n the server that cannt be remved manually until the service "pcle" is clsed in the Task Manager Outlk plug in desn't perfrm redirect when cnfigured t HTTP n an HTTPS deplyment. The user needs t manually change the URL frm http t https in the utlk plug in settings. Upgrade t new lcatin des nt maintain ld cnfiguratin - After upgrade the versin t anther lcatin. The user will have t recnfigure the system. HTTPS upgrade certificate file is nt saved if nn default certificate was set and the file resides under SCOPIA Desktp directry - The certificate shuld be saved nt under the default directry f SDS 1129 After upgrading the SDS t 8.3, when yu g t lg int the SDS admin, yu smetimes are prmpted t g thrugh the wizard, but the interface is cllapsed n the right side and buttns aren't available. Use Chrme r FireFx t run the wizard.
