5 Intrductin Dualg s Service Catalgue describes all f the Cnnectin Suite IT services currently delivered t custmers. This Catalgue describes the services and their assciated features and is related t tw ther dcuments that, tgether, fully define and describe delivered services. These are: Dualg s Service Level Agreement (SLA) Dualg s Current Price List Each service is identified by a service ID and a service name. IT Services Dualg s IT services are based n a client / server architecture where the client sftware Dualg Cnnectin Suite Ship is installed n a cmputer at a remte site (e.g. nbard a ship) and the assciated Dualg Cnnectin Suite Clud is managed and maintained by Dualg in a prfessinal set f datacenters. This ptentially relieves the custmer f majr administrative / peratinal verheads. Additinally, it includes access t the Supprt team fr bth custmers shre and ship-based staff. Cnnectin Suite Cre cmprises tw main cmpnents: The n bard client sftware (Cnnectin Suite Ship) and the clud-based servers (Cnnectin Suite Clud). The third cmpnent is dualg.net which is Dualg s custmer prtal prviding cmplete shre-based management via the Internet. All cnfiguratin f the ships Dualg sftware can be managed via this prtal. 9

Basic Installatin + Business and Autmatic File Transfer The fllwing requirements are fr the cmputer / server running the Cnnectin Suite services: CPU: Intel Pentium4+ / AMD XP RAM: Minimum 4 GB is recmmended Disk: Minimum 20 GB available fr installatin, plus data strage ( , files, Web cache etc). If running Web4Sea then add 10 GB Serial prts accrding t cmmunicatin equipment requirements Additinal Services N additinal requirements apply when Cnnectin Suite Cre and services run n the same cmputer if it is a dedicated cmputer / server fr Cnnectin Suite. When running the Netwrk Cntrl n the same cmputer as the standard installatin we recmmend a cnfiguratin with at least tw netwrk interface cards fr security e.g. ne cnnecting the ship s LAN and the ther t the external the cmmunicatin equipment. If the Netwrk Cntrl is handling large vlumes f lcal data (e.g. f traffic between multiple ship netwrk segments) a mre pwerful prcessr is recmmended. 13

15 Netwrk Cntrl Running n a Separate Cmputer The Netwrk Cntrl can be installed n a separate cmputer. T avid reduced thrughput n internal traffic a CPU with at least 4 kernels is required. The fllwing minimum hardware recmmendatins apply: CPU: Intel Cre i / AMD A RAM: Minimum 4 GB is recmmended Disk: Netwrk Cntrl stres data in the system s database (n additinal hard disk requirements) Web4Sea Web4Sea can be installed n a separate cmputer. The fllwing hardware requirements apply: CPU: Intel Pentium4+ / AMD XP RAM: Minimum 4 GB is recmmended Disk: Disk space depends n the cache size cnfigured in Web4Sea recmmended 10 GB r mre Clients The Cnnectin Suite user interface is available via a Web brwser. Nrmally (unless specifically restricted) all cmputers and/r mbile devices in the ships Lcal Area Netwrk can access the user interface. 14

16 Internet Brwsers The user interface in Cnnectin Suite is mainly a Flash-based webpage, and can be accessed via any cmputer cnnected t the ships LAN. The fllwing brwsers are tested. Micrsft Internet Explrer 7.0 and newer Firefx 3.0 and newer Opera 10 and newer Ggle Chrme 4 and newer Mst likely ther brwsers can als be used. Adbe Flash player must be installed t be able t access the user interface. If nt installed n the client cmputer, installatin can be fund n the cmputer/server running the Cnnectin Suite services. Trying t access the user interface will direct t a link cntaining this installatin. Imprtant nte: Fr user lg-in and usage f Internet, Quta Management and CrewMail (Webmail), HTML5 is supprted. Thus, tablets and mbiles may be used by crew members fr their access t Cnnectin Suite Services. 15

The Cnnectin Suite Reprting Service prvides custmers a cmplete reprting service with creatin f custm reprts (shre), distributin, prductin (ships) and presentatin (shre). Features: Creating a Custm Reprt Using Dualg.net, custmers can create their wn reprts by defining the type f data that each reprt shall cntain. Each reprt element (field) cmprises a descriptin and data type (e.g. date / time, text, numerical value etc.) and whether the field is mandatry. When the new reprt definitin is saved it will be autmatically distributed t all ships. Reprting On the ship, authrised users select the named reprt, cmplete the details then save the cmpleted reprt which is then autmatically sent t the shre system. Accessing / Mnitring Cmpleted Reprts Reprts received frm ships can be viewed at dualg.net. Received reprts can be filtered by ship(s), type(s) and perid. Descriptin Dualg MapView prvides a gegraphical verview f ships lcatins. With this tl cmpanies will knw where their ships are at all times. MapView is available via Dualg's custmer prtal (dualg.net) and displays the vessels in Ggle Maps. Psitins are updated every time the ships cnnect, and include psitin, heading and speed. Crew details are updated and distributed autmatically frm the Crew Management System t all vessels this is a zer administratin slutin. T save data, is nly sent t the ship if the crew member is registered n bard. Whenever a crew member is n leave (at hme r elsewhere) r finds Internet access in a prt, his / her private is glbally accessible at Dualg's Custmer Prtal. This is a key feature that enables the crew accunts t ram between ships withut requiring the messages t be dwnladed t all the ships in the fleet. The accunt fllws the crew member wherever he / she is and represents a cnvenient single pint f cntact fr family, friends and his / her emplyer. Dualg CrewMail takes advantage f all cmmunicatin features in Cnnectin Suite t prvide maximum access while minimising cst.
