Actually, 71% f cmpanies find that knwledge sharing is critical fr their rganizatin, and that their cllabratin tls have pr ergnmics, d nt interperate, and need t be available frm anywhere (surce NetMediaEurpe). This calls fr a innvative wrkplace cllabratin service, which enables crsscmmunity interactins, beynd cmpany-brders, with seamless integratin int existing ICT assets. Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) is intrducing Alcatel-Lucent Rainbw, an verlay clud service perated by ALE. Rainbw ffers cntact management, presence, persistent messaging, audi/vide, screen & file sharing, with PSTN terminatin and API penness t integrate with existing custmer PBXs, machines and apps. 7 Alcatel-Lucent Rainbw Prductin Nte 5 What s new The main purpse f this delivery is: T release a first step f Multi-User Chat (MUC) ffering the pssibility t create rms where several users can discuss simultaneusly. T prvide the capability t an existing cmpany t expand Rainbw users in an autnmus mde either with self-registratin r by sending an invitatin. New users will nly be able t cllabrate with ther users frm their wn cmpany. It is therefre recmmended t encurage enugh user t create their accunt t see the cllabratin effect f Rainbw. T prpse an actin bar displayed during the desktp sharing t manage the cmmunicatin. T release the Outlk TM plugin feature t all Rainbw users having Outlk 2010 and abve. and t fix issues encuntered in previus versins: The cmpany is nw displayed near user s name in the search result (13837). The remval f the persnal in the vcard is effective immediately withut needing t update f the interface (14671). After a Netwrk mve r a lng perid f inactivity, the Desktp App might nw recnnects autmatically (11981 / 14710). Ludspeaker selectin in users settings is functinal (14082). Rainbw Web (new) Emily Desktp Win/OSX (new) Admin Prtal (new) Desktp Mac/OS PBX agent (new) ios (new) Andrid Multi-User Chat (MUC) The versin intrduces in the Rainbw slutin the Multi-User chat. Several users will nw be able t exchange IMs tgether. The fllwing chapter will present the Multi-User chat feature whatever the client used. Clients specific behavirs r cnfiguratin will be detailed in the crrespndent paragraph belw with the help f screen-shts. The first step is t create a bubble, it can be dne with all clients. At the creatin, in additin t defining a name and a subject (ptinal), the user will have t select the grup s members (up t 200 entries). The invited participant will be prmpted t accept r decline the invitatin. The member having accepted will be part f the chatting grup (they are the Attendees), will be visible by the ther participants whereas the user having refused will nly remain in the wner s Declined invitatins list. The wner will als keep in his list the users having left the rm in the Away grup. The bubbles can be accessed either frm the dedicated areas My bubbles r All as well as directly frm the recent cnversatins list. The Owner f a bubble will be able t Add a new participant r remve ne frm the list; Visualize the detailed participant list accrding t their status: Attendee (members having accepted the invitatin), Pending (n acknwledgment yet) and Declined (users having refused the invitatin); Delete a rm, in this case the rm will be autmatically remved frm all participant s rster and recent cnversatin list; Mdify the descriptin f the chat rm. In this first versin f Multi-User Chat, the unread messages ntificatins are functinal nly fr invitatins and nt fr messages themselves MUC is nt yet available n Andrid App 5.2 Web Apps Multi-User Chat As described in paragraph 5.1, Rainbw prpses Multi-User Chat t its users. The bjective is t remind the user the type f nging call and t quickly access t the cmmands ffered fr this type f cmmunicatin such as adding r remving vide, muting r un muting, sharing r un-sharing the screen. The Rainbw extensin permits t the cnnected user t start an Audi r Vide calls and t pen a chat sessin with his cntacts directly frm Outlk TM nly by selecting an sent by this cntact. Installatin Rainbw extensin fr Outlk TM is installed with the Desktp app. During the setup, the prcess identifies the current versin f Micrsft Office TM and ffers t install the add-in if it is cmpliant. The user is infrmed that he is ut f data cverage by the fllwing message present n the tp f the App: Only IM reading is pssible, n sending will be perfrmed and mre glbally n mdificatin f any data will be authrized. Online cntact display In rder t lighten the display f the users rster, ios App prpses tw separate views f cntacts accrding t their cnnectin status. The Online list nly display the users belnging t the rster wh are Cnnected at the mment Whereas My netwrk view shws the users discnnected, away r wh have still a pending invitatin.
