6 Fiery Sftware Manager 3.0 Versin 3.0 presents a new user interface fr easy, independent administratin f applicatins. Incremental updates Fiery Sftware Manager will install individual Fiery applicatins in future sftware updates. Incremental updates f the Fiery applicatins enable faster and mre frequent delivery f new sftware features, resulting in faster installatin f updates and the ability t select which applicatins t install. Fiery Sftware Manager allws independent administratin f applicatins. Fiery Cmmand WrkStatin 5.7 Filtered View Tabs Filtered View Tabs, a new prductivity-bsting feature, increases prductin thrughput. Operatrs save Filtered View Tabs as additinal tabs frm the standard Held, Printed and Archived tabs. This helps peratrs plan and priritise print prductin by gruping jbs with similar characteristics and viewing Held and Printed jbs in a single tab. With Filtered View Tabs, peratrs stre their favrite search criteria in a separate tab that is dynamically refreshed as new jbs cme int the Fiery server. Users can create up t 10 tabs in additin t the standard tabs f Held, Printed and Archived. Filtered View Tabs are added t plan and priritise print prductin. Useful scenaris: Create an Errr tab t list all the jbs with an errr Jb Status instead f displaying them mixed in with the printed jbs in the Printed tab. Create a tab called Hammermill 105gsm Cated t filter just jbs that are ready t print, matching the media the peratr has just laded. An peratr has a tab called 'Mike' that shws nly the jbs under his username in bth Held and Printed tabs.

Select a date range t find jbs quicker Fiery makeready tls Impsitin autmatin based n User Defined Finish Size fr Fiery Ht Flders in Fiery Impse The User Defined Finished Size impsitin in Fiery Impse hnrs the trim bx finish ptin in PDF files. With this enhancement, Fiery users can use Fiery Impse templates created with User Defined Finished Size settings in Fiery Ht Flders. Select impsitin based n trim bx frm Fiery Ht Flders Cnvert t Grayscale Fiery Cmpse and Fiery JbMaster Operatrs can easily specify any page r sheet surface t print in black and white during the makeready stage. The Cnvert t Grayscale feature saves n click charges and easily fulfills the designer s intent fr a printed piece. Applying grayscale cnversin at the sheet level ensures click savings fr impsed dcuments such us bklets r gangups. Cnvert t Grayscale takes place either in the Page View r Sheet View panels. 8 The cnversin is nn-destructive. This means that nce the jb has been saved back t the Held queue, peratrs can apply further edits t reverse the cnversin if necessary. Useful scenaris: A lng manual that is heavy n text has blue hyperlinks thrughut the dcument. The peratr can turn all bdy sheets int grayscale in Sheet View after laying ut the bklet t save n clicks. A custmer wants the back f her business card printed in black and white. The peratr selects the back page in Page View panel and cnverts it t grayscale. Aut Tabs Fiery JbMaster The Aut Tabs feature creates tab sheets, places them in the right lcatin and ppulates the tab ear cntent autmatically by using bkmark links frm PDF dcuments. It streamlines makeready and reduces errrs that can happen during manual assembly f tab jbs. With Aut Tabs, users can als reduce the time t prepare a tab jb frm 20 t 50 minutes, t less than 5 minutes. Aut Tabs is especially valuable fr lng dcuments that require well-defined chapters r sectins, such as training manuals, reprts r curse packs. Aut Tabs uses bkmark links in the PDF r places tabs autmatically at the Chapter Start page Useful scenaris The print buyer prvides a PDF file fr each sectin f a training manual. The peratr cmbines thse files int ne dcument using Adbe Acrbat, which merges each sectin int a single PDF file and autmatically creates bkmarks at the beginning f each sectin. Bkmarks retain the names f their PDF files. The print buyer includes all tab infrmatin in the PDF print file, rather than creating tab instructins and tab ear cntent in a separate dcument. Advanced Page Numbering Fiery JbMaster Makeready f lng, cmplex jbs requires the ability t apply different page number sequences r frmats t the multiple sectins within a dcument. The expanded page numbering tl in JbMaster includes advanced capabilities t cater t these demands. Advanced Page Numbering allws peratrs t create unique numbering sequences fr ne r multiple sectins, using a cmbinatin f custm text, frmats and macrs.

Mre than ne page-numbering sequence can be applied t a single page. Useful scenaris A technical manual cntains an appendix and a main sectin, each requiring a different frmat. An appendix might call fr Rman numerals (i, ii, iii), while the main sectin uses Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3). With Advanced Page Numbering all page numbering frmats can be defined at nce. A jb requires restarting page numbering because f inserts and dividers that shuld nt be numbered. Advanced Page Numbering can detect chapter starts autmatically t skip and restart numbering. Anther jb needs all pages t display the chapter name n tp and the page number n the bttm. Advanced Page Numbering can add bth macrs t the same page withut returning t the native files t add chapter names. Fiery JbFlw 2.0 Fiery JbFlw ffers autmated prepress prcesses that are easy t set up and use, t minimise rewrk and bst verall efficiency at the print flr. The Fiery JbFlw installer is included in the list f applicatins t dwnlad frm the Fiery Sftware Manager n Windws wrkstatins. Users can access the brwser-based Fiery JbFlw applicatin frm Mac r Windws clients. After installing the Fiery JbFlw applicatin, the free versin, Fiery JbFlw Base, is enabled. All Fiery external servers running Fiery System 9R2 r later sftware and Fiery embedded servers running Fiery FS150 sftware have Fiery API if Fiery Cmmand WrkStatin v5.5 r later is installed. The new versin f the Fiery Integratin Manager included in the Fiery Integratin Package 1.1 enables the installatin f Fiery API t Fiery embedded and external servers running Fiery System 9R2 / 9eR2 r later. Extended language supprt Fiery Cmmand WrkStatin 5.7 cmes lcalised int tw new languages: Krean and Traditinal Chinese.
