This latest release is free f charge fr all users with their Fiery prserver sftware r Fiery XF cvered under an EFI Sftware Maintenance and Supprt Agreement, (SMSA), r an EFI Enhanced Service Prgram, (ESP). Bth 16-Bit TIFFs as well as PDFs with and withut transparencies nw prduce extremely smth gradatins. A new Spt Clr Variatins feature allws users t find and use the best pssible visual clr match t a sample. Hue, Saturatin and Brightness can be cntrlled with fine t curse adjustments with the chice f tw matching methds depending n preference, Clr search pattern r Clr neighbr pattern. Spt Clr Swatch Bk printing is enhanced with additinal patch sizes and larger fnt sizes fr better usability and clarity. 30x20 7pt / 6pt fnt size (existing size nw with a larger fnt size) 40x25 9pt / 7pt fnt size 10pt / 8pt fnt size Linearizatin enhancements fr EFI Reggiani and EFI VUTEk FabriVU printers prduce heavily imprved results n backlit substrates with: Imprved ink limiting, imprved pre-linearizatins, new default dt gain, larger linearizatin charts plus data smthing. The White and Clear ink printing mdes Tnal Image and Tnal Image Inverse are nw available fr all EFI VUTEk and EFI Matan printers. These mdes help t increase the utput gamut n nn-white r transparent substrates, plus cnsume far less ink versus the traditinal White ink fr Bunding Bx r Fld methds. 2 Prductivity imprvements: The number f FAST RIP instances available has been increased frm 1 t 2 fr the Fiery prserver platfrm, this prvides increased prductivity by allwing simultaneus spling and prcessing, r simultaneus prcessing f jbs. The number f instances will depend n the available RAM in the Fiery prserver, 1 instance requires 8GB f RAM. Clred cut marks can nw be used when printing t the EFI Jetrin 4900 ensuring ptimal tick mark detectin whatever the substrate r cutting device being used. Usability imprvements: The Fiery Wide Frmat Supprt dialg bx, accessed frm the Fiery XF Client, has been updated with additinal cntact numbers fr India, China, Australia and Suth Krea plus an updated the cntact number fr the United States. Integratin imprvements: Print via IP Netwrk has been enhanced fr EFI VUTEk printers: Behavir in versin 6.3 and lwer: When jbs are sent using Print via IP Netwrk t a VUTEk printer and the jb status is Submitted r Waiting, it was nt pssible t re-prcess the jb with different parameters (i.e. t create a secnd versin f the jb with a different clr mde and/r reslutin). Behavir in versin 6.4: When jbs are sent using Print via IP Netwrk t a VUTEk printer and the jb status is Submitted r Waiting, users may nw Cancel the jb (which cancels the bi-directinal cmmunicatin, but leaves the RTL file in the VUTEk printer sftware queue), change parameters and send anther (r multiple) versin(s) f the same jb t the VUTEk printer sftware. The bi-directinal cmmunicatin fr the last jb sent will be maintained. The default naming fr RTL files has changed t the fllwing frmat: Jb name_page number_tile number_xf Jb ID_Jb sequence, allwing users t mre easily track jbs by jb name. 5 Availability: NOTE: The update t Fiery XF 6.4 can nly be perfrmed after a 6.4 license has been dwnladed and installed. Fiery XF 6.4 is available as an nline update fr all cnfiguratins f Fiery prserver and Fiery XF versin 6.3 and Custmers with 6.0 installed, first need t update t 6.1 (via the nline updater, r using 6.1 DVDs) and then use the nline updater t update first t 6.2, then t 6.3 and then t 6.4. Custmers with an earlier versin installed need t perfrm a full installatin f 6.0 r 6.1, and then perfrm the necessary nline updates t get t versin 6.4. EFI will pre-activate 6.4 upgrade licenses fr all custmers with a valid EFI sftware agreement (SMSA r ESP). T dwnlad a pre-activated license, chse Activate Fiery XF frm the Fiery XF Cntrl applicatin, check Dwnlad previusly created license, and then click the Dwnlad Activated Licenses buttn befre yu start the installatin f the update. 7. Nte: If yu attempted t run the 6.4 updater befre installing the 6.4 license yu can restart the upgrade prcess by launching the updater frm the EFI Dwnlads flder created n the Desktp, after perfrming the steps abve.
