6 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1. Welcome Ths manual explans how to nterface wth the H.264 codec supportng IP camera seres usng the Mcrosoft Internet Explorer web browser. The Web Page of the product has been mplemented wth the protocols below: HTTP API Parameter confguraton commands RTP/RTSP Vdeo, Audo, and Metadata Streamng Actve X program Image dsplay on clent PC 1.2. Gettng Started Before utlzng the web nterface, nstall and connect the camera and other physcal devces. Refer to the hardware manual suppled for the product nstallaton steps. The nstallaton manual provdes detaled nformaton for nstallaton and confguraton of the devce IP Address Settng How to fnd the IP Address of your devce: The product has ts unque IP address, and users can dentfy the address by convertng the MAC address last two dgts of hexadecmal numbers descrbed on the stcker that s attached to the devce. Refer to the followng fgure, and convert the MAC address to an IP address. Type the dentfed IP address n the address bar of the Internet Explorer to access the web page of the product. MAC address = 00-1C-B IP address = Convert the last two sets of hexadecmal numbers to decmal numbers A 6

7 How to change the default IP address: IPAdmnTool software allows users to search and change the IP address of connected devces. The fgure below shows a man UI of the IPAdmnTool. The IPAdmnTool helps to search multple devces. Please refer to the IPAdmnTool User s Manual.pdf for the detaled nformaton and ts usage. What s IPAdmnTool? IPAdmnTool automatcally scans all of the products ncludng encoders and cameras on the network and dsplays product s nformaton, ncludng product name, IP address, MAC address, frmware nformaton, and devces uptme. The tool also allows users to change the IP address or update the frmware. It s hghly recommended for users to revew before usng ths tool for better understandng the software functons and admnstraton controls. Lmtaton of the concurrent clents Dependng on streamng confguratons and settngs, smultaneous connectons mght reach the lmtaton due to system maxed-out capablty. 8 2. USING A WEB BROWSER After the network and power connecton are establshed, access the web browser to vew the lve streamng of the connected devce. Installaton of the ActveX s requred to see the lve page and to access full controls n Mcrosoft Internet Explorer ActveX Installaton (AxUMF.cab) For full control of a devce through a web browser, nstallaton of the ActveX control s requred. Refer to the followng steps to nstall the ActveX. Dsable the Pop-up blocker or run Add-on notce n a browser to nstall the ActveX and Installaton fle. 1. Clck the nstallaton warnng message on the vew page as below. JPEG snapshot s dsplayed every 1 second before you nstall AxUMF.cab 2. Clck the Install button on the securty warnng message box. If the page s not respondng after the nstallaton, refresh the page. 3. Install setup.exe by clckng the lnk shown on the man page. 9 4. Follow the nstructons of the dalog boxes, and complete the nstallaton. 5. When the dalog box appears to request user name and password, enter the default value for the admnstrator account (case-senstve) as below: User Name: root Password: pass 6. Refresh the page and check f the lve mage s dsplayed successfully. 11 3. LIVE When the devce s accessed va the web browser, the lve mage of the devce appears on the wndow. To go back to the Lve page ether from the Storage or Setup page, clck Lve on the upper left corner of the web page Log In To access the devce on the web browser: 1. Enter root for the user name and pass for the password on the pop-up wndow. 2. Clck the OK to access the man page A 11

12 3.2. Lve Page Menus Panel Clckng the Panel button enables users to hde/show the menu tabs. The menu tab bascally conssts of the Opton tab and the Status tab. Addtonasl tabs wll appear dependng on the devce type, and the addtonal tabs wll be ntroduced at the end of Lve Vew Page Menus ntroducton. Opton Tab Stream: The drop-down box dsplays avalable streams of the camera for users to select from. The checkboxes of Vdeo and Audo (for the audo supported devces) under the dropdown box enable users to select only the wanted source to be ncluded on the stream. There s no UDP stream type supported for IPv6 network. Sze: Users may select the sze of mage that s dsplayed on a web page. - Ft: Image sze s reduced / enlarged to ft nto the current web wndow. - 25%: Image sze s reduced to a quarter of orgnal resoluton. - 50%: Image sze s reduced to a half of orgnal resoluton. - 75%: Image sze s reduced to three quarters of orgnal resoluton %: Image sze s dsplayed as ts orgnal resoluton sze %: Image sze s 50% more enlarged than ts orgnal resoluton sze. - Full: The mage s shown on a full screen mode. Trgger-Alarm(DO): Users may enable or dsable the alarm. Settng up the alarm from the settng menu s requred. (Setup > Perpheral > DI/DO) Audo: - Speaker :Speaker wll be actvated when Audo Input (Setup > Stream > Audo) and audo stream (Setup > Network Confguraton > RTSP/RTP) are tcked. There s a slde bar to adjust the speaker volume. - Mcrophone :Mcrophone wll be actvated when the Audo Output (Setup > Stream > Audo) s tcked A 12

13 Vdeo Control: Users can readly record or take a snapshot of the lve mage n a local storage whle montorng the lve mage. - Record/Stop: Clck the Record button to record the current scene of the lve mage as an AVI fle, and clck the Stop button when you need to stop recordng. - Snapshot: Clck the Snapshot button to take a snapshot of the current scene. - Pause/Resume: Clck the Pause button when you need to observe a fast movng scene n the lve mage, and you can also take a snapshot of the paused scene. Clck the Resume button f you want to see the lve mage agan. - Settng: Users can confgure the settngs of recordng and snapshot. The operaton of Vdeo control requres Internet Explorer to access the clent system. If a message box of User Account Control asks you to make changes on your computer, clck Yes to allow the control. Vdeo Control cannot be supported n any browser other than Internet Explorer. Turn off the pop-up blocker on the Lve page. Clckng the Settng button wll brng up the Recordng/Snapshot Confguraton page. Clckng the Settng button wll make the Recordng/Snapshot Confguraton page popped up. Local Recordng: - Save Path : Select a local path to save recordngs of Lve Page. - Prefx of flename: You can change the prefx of the fle name. - Recordng resource: Select ether Vdeo only or Audo+Vdeo accordng to your ntenton. - Rule of segmentaton: You can set a segmentaton rule to lmt a fle sze. (by) Sze: The range of the fle sze s from 10 to 4000 Megabyte(s). (by) Tme: The range of the recordng length s from 10 to 3600 seconds or from 1 to 3600 mnutes. Snapshot - Save Path: Select a local path to save snapshots of Lve Page. - Prefx of flename: You can change the prefx of the fle name. Dgtal Zoom A 13

14 After the nstallaton of Actve X, you can dgtally zoom the lve screen wth your mouse. Zoom: movng the mouse wheel to the upward drecton on lve screen wll enable dgtal zoom. Once the lve vew s zoomed, you can see any spot wthn the camera s feld of vew by movng your mouse. The room rato wll be ndcated at the upper rght hand corner of the screen, and where the currently zoomed spot s wthn the camera s feld of vew wll be ndcated wthn the rectangle appearng at the bottom rght hand corner of the screen A 14

15 Status Tab - System : Shows Usage of CPU and memory. - Tme: Tme after bootng. - Frst Stream/Second Stream/Snapshot: current status of each encoder. It shows nternal encoder status, not streamng status. - RTSP Connect Lst : shows all IP addresses currently accessng the webpage. If the lve mage s not shown, 1. Check f the camera s powered on and connected properly. 2. When usng the Internet Explorer, check f the ActveX control s nstalled. For other types of web browsers, the lve mage s dsplayed va QuckTme Player A 15

16 PTZ Tab PTZ Tab s shown f the model supports PTZ operaton or t s Speed PTZ camera. Movement: The arrow buttons can enable users to move Pan/Tlt. -Zoom In/Out: Clck + button to zoom n (Tele) and - button to zoom out (Wde). -Focus Near/Far: Clck + button to focus n near and - button to focus n far. Speed: Adjust the speed of the pan/tlt control. Pre Poston: Users can preset varous postons by numberng dfferent spots of space. The maxmum number of postons that user can set are 255. Clckng GO after a preset number was selected from the drop-down lst wll show the correspondng poston. Tour: Tour shows the vdeo stream from the dfferent preposton n a pre-defned order for ntervals. Select the Tourng Number and then clck the Start button to start the predefned Tourng. If you want to stop Tourng mmedately, Clck Stop button. Please refer to Tourng for the confguraton. Home Poston: One poston can be set as the Home poston whch s readly accessble by just clckng Go or goes to when there s no operaton wth Autorun. Please refer to Autorun for the confguraton. Wper : Ths only appear when the camera type s IR speed PTZ. Ths s located below the Home Poston confguraton. If the lens surface needs to be wped, clck the Start button. After wpng s done, clck the Stop button A 16

17 Unwarpng Tab Unwarpng Tab wll appear only for the camera models supported wth unwarpng functon. Installaton Place : User can select nstallaton mode here. - Celng : Select t when camera s nstalled on the celng. - Wall : Select t when camera s nstalled on the wall. - Ground : Select t when camera s nstalled on the ground. Vew Type : User can choose type of lve screen vew. - Sngle : Dsplay the default 1 vew. - Quad : Dsplay dvded vew of 4. - Panorama : Dsplay 2 vews up and down. Default Poston : Clck the Set button to return to the default poston from the current vew A 17

SEARCH To search for the recordngs for events, clck Search. 1 st table 2 nd table 3 rd table Playback (1 st table) A recorded fle that a user specfes on the 4rd table can be replayed here. - Slder Bar : It dsplays the progress of playng vdeo. However, the progress cannot be manually controlled on slder bar. NOTE: the slder bar appears only n IE browser. - Control Buttons : It dsplays the progress of playng vdeo. However, the progress cannot be : Play : Pause : Stop : Download the snapshot. The save path s the same as the one confgured at Lve > Panel > Vdeo Control > Settng > Snapshot A 18

19 : Download the event recordng fles as an AVI fle format. The save path s the same as the one confgured at Lve > Panel > Vdeo Control > Settng > Snapshot. : Dsplay the full screen shot. Only IE browser supports ths functon. - Automatc playback next fle : Selectng ths checkbox wll enable automatc playback of all fles startng from the selected one to the latest one n a row (t s supported only n IE browser). - Mute Audo : User can remove audo by selectng ths opton (t s supported only n IE browser). Search Condton (2 nd table) - Event source : There are the checkboxes of all avalable event sources for defnng the fle search condton. Users can select or deselect certan event sources to narrow the condtons to search for specfc event. - Date : Select the specfc date by usng the arrow buttons or the pop-up calendar to narrow the correspondng fles to the selected event sources. - Tme Lne : It helps you dentfy hat tme of the day has events and lets you playback the recorded vdeo by clckng each sngle bar for each recordng. NOTE: To dstngush each bar from clusters, enlarge the tme lne by rollng your mouse wheel upward. Search Result (3 rd table) - Thumbnal (Face Image) : Thumbnal or face amge (n case of face detecton event) wll appear wth the event name and the event tme. If Attached thumbnal (or face mage) s not selected for recordng, no mage wll be shown. - Event Name /Event Tme : The name of an event and the event occurrng tme wll appear. - Control Buttons / : These two buttons work the same as the ones of the same shapes on 1 st table for playback. : Clckng ths con wll dsplay the detals of the event ncludng the duraton of the recordng A 19

20 5. SETUP To confgure the settng values of the devce, clck Setup on the man page. To access the Setup page, ID and passwords are requred Basc Confguraton The Basc Confguraton provdes the menus requred for the basc settngs that users must confgure after the camera nstallaton Users Refer to Users to get nformaton on how to add, modfy, or remove the web page users TCP/IP Refer to Settng TCP/IP (DHCP, Statc IP, DNS settng) for TCP/IP confguraton Date and Tme Refer to Date & Tme for tme and date settng Stream The Stream confguraton page from Setup > Basc Confguraton > Stream operates the same way as of the page from Setup > Vdeo & Audo > Stream. 21 Focus Assst Focus Assst s a vsble gudelne to adjust focus more easly than when attemptng the adjustment wth bare eyes. The feature of Focus Assst on the camera s webpage s found at Setup > Basc Confguraton > Focus Assst. How Focus Assst Work Clckng the start button dsplays the graph formed wth a seres of yellow bars wth the hghest focus value and the current focus value lke n the above mage, whch ndcates the degrees of how much precse the focus s durng the movements of focus rng so that users can get a sense of better focus. Start : Ths button ntates dsplayng the graph and the focus values. Stop : It stops dsplayng the graph and the focus value. Vew : The button dsplays Lve Vew. Pop-up : Clck ths button opens a pop-up wndow of Lve Vew A 21

22 5.2. Vdeo and Audo To change the settng for vdeo nput, burnt-n text, encoder profle, stream, and prvacy mask, go to the Vdeo (& Audo) page by selectng Setup > Vdeo (& Audo). Ths menu s confgured wth the followng sub menus : Camera, Repostonng(dependng on the devce type), Burnt-n Text, Encoder Profle, Stream and Prvacy Mask Camera (channel namng/vdeo format/ color control) The camera settng page provdes optons to: Name a channel for the camera Set mage attrbutes Adjust the mage exposure Confgure Day & Nght mode Confgure the mage sgnal processng Prevew the current settng Rotate mage Stablze the mage 1. Adjust the camera settngs based on the nstructons for each component on the followng pages, and clck the Apply button to save changes. 2. Clck the Vew button to see how the mage wll appear on the Vew wndow. Or, clck the Pop-Up button to have a separate pop-up wndow to prevew the mage. General - Frendly name : The users may provde frendly name (alas) to an ndvdual devce n case when utlzng multple channels and devces. Usng alas s recommended to dstngush the devce where envronment requres multple mage feedbacks wth multple montorng devces. - Aspect Rato : There are two modes respectvely of 4:3 and 16:9. The 4:3 mode s avalable n all the products except for encoders. Vdeo Appearance - Brghtness : The range s from 0 to 255, the default s Contrast : The range s from 0 to 255, the default s Saturaton : The range s from 0 to 255, the default s Sharpness : The range s from 0 to 255, the default s 160. Sharpness s affected by nstallaton envronment. Here n the web menu s range defnton s operatng range, therefore confgurng the rght value for each camera s necessary A 22

23 Vdeo Transform Orentaton - Vertcal Flp : Ths enables an mage to be rotated vertcally. - Horzontal mrror : Ths enables an mage to be mrrored. Rotaton Image rotaton s a corrdor mode whch rotates the vdeo mage 90 degrees n an area that s more vertcal than horzontal n shape such as starcase, hallways, asles to vew a vertcally orented vdeo stream. The optons are None, Left(-90 degrees), and Rght(+90 degrees). Exposure Image rotaton s not supported for the product types below. Repostonng cameras / PTZ camera s/ Vdeo Encoders Image rotaton usng hgh resoluton (1080p) may affect the frame rate. Image rotaton cannot be used whle any of the features below s actvated. -Vdeo Stablzaton -VCA Exposure mode Selectng the rght exposure control mode depends on the nstallaton ste s envronment. Three modes are avalable; - Auto : Ths mode tres to adjust the shutter speed automatcally dependng on the lght condton wthn the range from the user confgured max exposure tme (mnmum shutter speed) to the user confgured mn exposure tme(maxmum shutter speed). Otherwse, the shutter speed wll vary wthn the camera s default values. - Manual : If the auto mode doesn t work properly or you want to fx the shutter speed, you may set the shutter speed manually A 23

24 - Flckerless : Flcker may occur under florescent lghts. Then, select a proper lght frequency to compensate the lght flckerng. Maxmum AGC Set the maxmum value from 0 to 100 accordng to your decson. *AGC(Auto Gan Control) It mantans approprate exposure on the mage by automatcally adjustng gan under low lght condton. When gan s ncreased nose and btrate are elevated as well. Thus, users may need to set the maxmum of AGC (Range 0~100) whle consderng the preventon of the excessve ncrease of nose and data sze. Exposure adjustment Correct exposure value should be selected from the lst box to adjust the target brghtness for the automatc exposure settng. The hgh value makes the mage brghter, and the low value makes the mage darker. Select the value from the followng optons : +1.0, +0.6, +0.3, 0, 0.3, 0.6, 1.0(EV) Backlght compensaton (BLC) allows the camera to adjust the exposure of the entre mage to properly expose the subject n the foreground. (In mages where a brght lght source s behnd the subject of nterest, the subject would normally appear n slhouette.) Dgtal slow shutter allows to get the proper exposure n low lght condton even the frame rate may be dropped. IR enables to adjust the IR power output dependng on the surroundng lght condtons. It also elmnates overexposure f a subject s detected closer to the camera. - ON(Smart IR) : Ths mode automatcally adjusts the pre-defned levels of the IR power output wth the range of 0 to Manual : Users can manually set a statc level of the IR power output wth the range of 0 to Off : Ths mode makes the camera s IR LEDs turned off. IR feature s avalable only for the specfc camera models equpped wth IR LEDS. Dgtal Wde Dynamc Range (DWDR) Ths ensures clarty n mage n the space affected by strong lght causng a bg contrast on the spots wthn the mage. Auto Focus Mode (: Auto focus mode s avalable for speed PTZ cameras only.) Autofocus allows the lens to reman n focus durng tele/wde movement. There are three modes. - Auto : ths mode enables to focus automatcally. - Sem-auto : Ths mode allows adjustng focus once automatcally n the below cases. PAN/TILT movement Zoom In/Out A 24

25 Change Preset poston The PTZ poston change by Autorun - Manual : Ths mode allows user to change the focus wth Focus Near/Far control. Day & Nght Three dfferent day/nght modes are supported: Auto, Day, and Nght. Select the desred mode based on the nstallaton envronment. Default value s Auto. When Auto s selected, the threshold value for Day to Nght and Nght to Day can be controlled. Please note that Nght to Day level should always be set hgher than Day to Nght level. - Day to Nght level : Ths has range of 0 ~ 63. (Default value s 1) - Nght to Day level : Ths has range of 1 ~ 64. (Default value s 3) - Refocus : Ths functon enables automatc focus when day changes to nght and vce versa. (: The refocus feature does not apper for the camera models wth fxed lens.) Whte Balance Several whte balance modes are avalable n ths opton. Select the mode approprate mode accordng to your nstallaton envronment. - atw1 : It automatcally adjusts whte balance for vdeo mages. - atw2 : t automatcally adjusts whte balance wth dfferent adjustable range when compared to atw1 mode. - push : It apples adjusted whte balance to mage. - manual : Users can manually set up red and blue hues to adjust whte balance. - Indoor : Approprate for the camera nstalled ndoors. - Outdoor : Approprate for the camera nstalled outdoors. PTZ camera models do not have the opton for atw2 and push. Image Sgnal Processng Dynamc 2D DNR When nose flter value s 0, the nose flter s off. The nose suppresson s performed to the maxmum when the value set s 15. The range s from 0 to 15, and the default s 3. The vdeo qualty wll suffer when the value s set to the hghest A 25

26 Enable defog Ths feature provdes mage wth the mproved vsblty when the mage s not clear enough due to envronmental condtons such as fog, dust, ran and etc. Enable ths mode by checkng the checkbox and selectng the rght level from the drop-down lst. Vdeo Stablzaton Vdeo Stablzaton s used to keep the mage stable aganst camera sway and other unwanted camera movement. Vdeo stablzaton can be enabled / dsabled ndependently for each ndvdual stream. In order to keep the output frames steady and algned to a reference frame, the output frames are shfted wth respect to the nput frames. As the camera moves around, the output frames are shfted to keep the mage features algned wth prevous frames. Ths results n areas for whch there s no mage data avalable. The Border In-fll opton controls what happens to those areas that do not contan any mage data. There are three optons avalable: - dynamc : The borders unformly expand and contract n real-tme n response to the amount of camera moton. - fxed : A fxed sze black border s present on all sdes whch blanks out the movng edges of the mage. The sze of the borders s equal to the maxmum frame shft. - none : Regons of the output mage for whch there s no avalable data are flled wth black. The performance of the stablzaton may be lmted due to the characterstc of mage sensor. The performance s optmzed n the frequency range of 1-5 Hz. Vde Stablzaton cannot be used whle any of the features below s actvated. - Image Rotaton - VCA - Vdeo out -Face detecton A 26

28 Movement - Arrow buttons: The camera can move to 4 drectons; up, down, left, and rght. The camera moves to the desred poston whle the button s clcked and held. Stop button can be used whle usng zoon/focus settngs or auto focus settngs. - Zoom/Focus buttons: 3 levels of movements are avalable for wde, tele, near and far movements. Clckng the buttons move the lens more extensvely than the buttons. - One Clck Focus: Clckng ths button automatcally sets the lens focus. To add burnt-n text, check on the box of Enable B-I Text after the settng and clck Apply What s Burnt-n Text? Burnt-n Texts burns nformaton nto streamng vsuals before t gets compressed, thus prohbtng manpulaton or alteraton of the events tme. It allows the fle to become relable evdence as t dscourages ntentonal manpulaton of the date and tme for an alb. Text confguraton Select nformaton (Date, tme and name) to nclude as the burnt-n text n mage. To nclude a specfc name or nfo, type the desred text on the name text box. To dsplay mllsecond (tme), check the Enable mllseconds for tme dsplay checkbox. Text poston Set where the burnt-n text wll be postoned n mage. Predefned locatons are provded as well as manual poston optons. It s recommended to use normalzed X, Y nstead of predefned postons (left-top, left-bottom, rght-top, rght-bottom) for the burnt-n text postons. Selectng same predefned postons on all three categores may cause overlappng texts, dependng on mage resoluton or the poston of each text. 31 Encoder profle To create pre-defned encoder profles, go to Setup > Vdeo & Audo > Encoder Profle. Stream Profle Lst: It shows a lst of defned encoder profles. Clckng a hghlghted profle shows the detaled nformaton about the profle. - Add : Clck Add to create a new profle - Copy : Clck Copy to easly create a duplcated profle. - Modfy : If you want to modfy a currently exstng profle, clck Modfy, and make changes on the exstng settng. - Remove : Clckng Remove gets rd of the hghlghted profle on the lst, but the default profle cannot be removed. If you clck ether one of Add, Copy, or Modfy button, the profle confguraton page appears as shown below. On ths page, users can name the profle, add descrpton and confgure the settngs for each stream, snapshot and audo separately A 31

If ths value s set to 1, the vdeo stream wll only have one I-frame. Keep ths value hgh to mnmze bandwdth. The max GOP s 30. For encoders, refer to APPENDIX[A]:ENCODERS. Profle Identfcaton Ths opton allows users to select between three H.264 dfferent profles. Ths drectly affects the qualty of the vdeo due to the amount of compresson appled. Baselne profle provdes maxmum compresson to the vdeo. Hgh profle gves the best qualty. Selectng the Man profle s balances between the other two A 33

34 Bt Rate Control - Varable Bt Rate (VBR) VBR allows a hgher btrate (and therefore more storage space) to be allocated to the more complex segments of meda fles whle less space s allocated to less complex segments. It s used when the system has enough storage and a hgh qualty mage s requred. However, there s a lmt, Maxmum btrate to be confgured to control the CPU usage. Image qualty can be confgured as hghest, hgh, normal, low and lowest. - Constant Bt Rate (CBR) CBR mode mantans the defned btrate level all the tme. Snapshot Confguraton Once Enable snapshot s tcked, t wll not stop untl the checkbox s unchecked and Apply s pressed. Enable snapshot Tck Enable snapshot to enable snapshot on the selected stream. Resoluton The supported resoluton for the product s lsted on the drop down box. Select the desred resoluton. If one of the vdeo streams s set to 1080P, other vdeo stream resoluton cannot be used as greater than 1088 horzontal. Maxmum FPS Enter how many snapshot fles you want to send per a second. The maxmum value s 5. JPEG qualty Enter the JPEG qualty. The range s from 0 to 100 and 100 means the best qualty. Audo Confguraton Enable audo Select the Enable check box for the mcrophone or speaker to be enabled. Audo Input Volume: Enter the audo nput volume. The avalable range s from 0 to 225. Codec: G.711 s supported for the audo codec. Samplng Frequency: The samplng frequency s selectable between 8kHz and 16kHz. Audo Output Volume: Enter the audo output volume. The avalable range s from 0 to 255. TCP/IP lsten port: Set the port for lstenng to the audo receved from the camera. 35 Stream To confgure predefned stream profle, go to Setup > Vdeo&Audo > Stream. Ths part has the same structure as n Setup > Encoder Profle, and actual stream s appled on ths page. Hghlght a profle that you wsh to confgure from the lst, and clck Load profle settngs to brng up ts settng below the Stream panel. 2. Clck Apply to mplement all changes to the currently loaded profle. 36 Prvacy Mask To set up the prvacy mask, go to Setup > Vdeo & Audo > Prvacy Mask. How to confgure prvacy mask zones except repostonng camera 1. Check Show button of the desred prvacy zone ID on the nformaton panel. 2. On the dsplay wndow, clck the left mouse button and drag the mouse dagonally untl the desred sze s made. 3. Clck SAVE to apply the prvacy mask on the screen. 4. Adjust and resze the prvacy mask to completely cover the object you targeted by changng the values you had entered. If you want to see each prvacy mask you already set n dfferent areas on the screen, clck GO. What are P,T,W, and H? P means Pan, ndcatng the camera s pannng poston. The value s from 0 to 360. T means Tlt, ndcatng the camera s tltng poston. The value s from -25 to 70. W means Wdth, ndcatng the wdth of prvacy mask. The value can be from 1 to 40. H means Heght, ndcatng the heght of prvacy mask. The value can be from 1 to 30. *The sum of the T value and the H value should be less than or equal to 70. What s Center? It s the coordnate of Pan and Tlt, whose locaton s center of the vdeo on the screen. What s Range? The range ndcates vertcal and horzontal vew angle of the vdeo on the screen A 37

The object s away toward the rght by 1/4 horzontally and on the same lne vertcally from the center. Thus, the values of the ntal pont are 57.5 and 45, whch are respectvely P value and T value. 2. To fully cover the object horzontally, there needs to be two squares from the red pont(p,t) to the rght, whose wdth s 2/4(=15). To confgure the vdeo-output mode, go to Setup > Vdeo&Audo >Vdeo-out. Select the vdeo-output mode among NTSC, PAL and off accordng to your ntenton. Event Confguraton On the Event Confguraton secton, users can lnk event sources such as DI(Dgtal Input: sensor) and Moton Detecton to event actons such as trggerng alarms and sendng notfcatons va emal or FTP/HTTP/TCP servers. Before you create an event profle, go to the desred subscrber confguraton page (E-Mal Recpent, FTP Notfcaton, or HTTP Notfcaton), and complete the requred server settngs Event Rules After the event subscrber confguraton, you can make several event profles wth dfferent optons of event source and notfcaton. Go to Setup > Event Confguraton > Event Rules to manage the event profle. On ths page, you can confgure the event source type and specfy how to send notfcaton message when an event trgger s actvated A 39

40 You can check the defned profle lst on the man page, and add, copy, modfy or remove an event rule. 1. Tck the checkbox of Enable event rules under Confguraton tab, and clck apply to begn creatng event rules. 2. Clck Add to create an event rule, and select desred Event Sources when a pop up wndow of Add to Event Rule Lst appears. 3. Clck Event Acton tab to select desred Event Actons. 4. Name the event rule on the Confguraton secton, and tck Enable Rule f you want to use the event rule, and then clck OK. 5. If you want to copy a profle of an exstng event rule, hghlght the desred event rule, and clck Copy. Copyng an event profle allows you to easly create multple profles wth the same confguraton. Clckng Modfy enables you to modfy the profle of the hghlghted event rule. Clckng Remove wll get rd of the hghlghted event rule from Event Rule Lst. * Please see the followng pages for the detal about the event sources and event actons. Event Source Confguraton The supported event source may be dfferent dependng on the hardware/software specfcaton of each model. The event sources can be categorzed nto three dfferent groups for ther mutually exclusve operatons. Thus, when any source from each group s enabled, all the other sources of the other two groups are dsabled. Schedule s a supplement to help event sources become more tme specfc A 40

41 1st group (Detectors) Sensor (DI#1) Select Sensor(DI#1) to enable DI as the event source. Face Detecton Select Face Detecton to enable Face detecton as the event source. Select the desred detecton profle to use as the event source from the lst (Refer to Face Detecton to create face detecton zones pror to selectng Face Detecton as the event source.) Network settng changed Ths opton allows users to receve events when network settng s changed. Storage error Ths opton allows users to set an event for alarm or notfcaton n case there s an error n the recordng storage. 3 rd group (Tme) Recurrence Ths opton allows users to perodcally take certan actons. Set the Recurrence perod by day, hours, or mnutes. The range of the nput number s from 0 to The ntal pont of the recurrence perod s mdnght. However, f Recurrence s combned wth schedule, the ntal pont of the recurrence tme wll be the ntal tme set for schedule. Schedule Schedule s the addtonal opton to add tme condtons to event sources. Thus, Schedule allows users to receve events or to take certan actons accordng to the defned specfc schedules. Select a desred schedule profle from the drop-down lst. The profles are confgured n the Schedule page. Go to Setup > Event Confguraton > Schedule for more detals. Or, use the hyperlnk Go to Schedule Confguraton. 44 Event Acton Confguraton The supported event acton may be dfferent dependng on the hardware/software specfcaton of each model. Actve Alarm (DO) Tck the check box to actvate the Dos for the event publsher. The number of DO check boxes vares dependng on each devce. - Actve: If you check ths opton, DO wll be actvated when there s an event. - Inactve: If you check ths opton, DO wll be deactvated even when there s an event detected. Specfy the alarm duraton. Duraton ndcates how long the DO works, whch can be adjusted from 0 to 600 seconds. If you select Unlmted, DO wll last long untl you manually turn t off A 44

45 Recordng Select the check box to record the vdeo, audo and meta data to the preconfgured FTP or SD memory card when the event s trggered. To use ths event acton, make sure that the recordng type s set as Event. It can be confgured at Storage > Recordng > Confguraton. - Prebuffer/Postbuffer: Specfy the recordng duraton before and after the event occurs. But the buffer bar wll be nactve when the followng optons are selected for Event Source confguraton. 1) Ether Network Loss/detect or Schedule s selected. 2) Both of Network loss/detect and Schedule are selected. - Attached thumbnal (or face mage): Selectng ths checkbox wll attach a thumbnal or face mage for recordng. Save event log All event log can be downloaded at Setup > Mantenance > System Log. Refer to System Log for the nstructons f you want to download the event log fle. Send E-mal notfcaton Select the check box to send E-mal to desgnated recpents. - Attached thumbnal (or face mage): Select ths checkbox, f you want to attach thumbnal or face mage n the emal. - Attached snapshot: To attach a snapshot mage, select the checkbox of Attach a snapshot. The mnmum of one post mage whch s taken at the trggered moment can be emaled along wth a maxmum of three pre mages, whch are taken before the trggered moment. Or, an emal only wth post mages(mn:1, max:3) can be sent wthout any pre mage. From the recpent lst, select the recpent to send the notfcaton. To create a new recpent that s not on the lst, go to Setup > Event Confguraton > E-Mal Recpent and create a new recpent nformaton. Once the desred recpent s selected, wrte the subject for the emal. Upload notfcaton to FTP Select the check box to actvate the FTP notfcaton. : If Schedule n the event source s used as only one event source, ths opton wll be blocked A 45

To create a new FTP server that s not on the lst, go to Setup > Event Confguraton > FTP Notfcaton, and confgure a new FTP server nformaton. Send HTTP Notfcaton Select the check box to actvate HTTP notfcaton method. From the HTTP notfcaton lst, select the HTTP server to send the notfcaton. To create a new HTTP server that s not on the lst, go to Setup > Event Confguraton > HTTP Notfcaton and create a new HTTP server nformaton. Send TCP Notfcaton Select the check box to actvate TCP notfcaton method. To confgure a new TCP server, go to Setup > Event Confguraton > TCP Notfcaton and confgure TCP server nformaton. Send Notfcaton va TCP event server Select the check box to actvate TCP event server notfcaton method. To confgure a new TCP server, go to Setup > Event Confguraton > TCP Server and confgure TCP server. Send multcast notfcaton Select the check box to actvate multcast notfcaton, and go to Setup > Event Confguraton > Multcast Notfcaton to confgure multcast notfcaton. Or, go to Multcast notfcaton for the detal. Actve PTZ Select the check box, and select the preset poston to move to the specfc preset poston of PTZ camera. To confgure a preset, go to Lve > Panel > PTZ > Pre Poston. To attach a snapshot mage on the confguraton of E-mal Recpent or FTP notfcaton, make sure the snapshot settng from Setup > Vdeo & Audo > Encoder Profle has been enabled A 46

47 Moton Detecton To set up the zones and rules confguraton requred for the moton detecton, go to Setup > Event Confguraton > Moton Detecton. Moton Zone Confgure the moton detecton zones by the followng steps. 1. Under the panel of Moton Zones, select Enable on a desred Zone ID. Then, a rectangle appears on the screen. 2. Relocate the rectangle or adjust the sze wth the left mouse button by draggng the mouse on top or on the edge of the rectangle. The rectangle s moton detecton zone. 3. Provde a relevant name and descrpton of the moton detecton zone on ts text box. 4. Adjust the value senstvty and object sze. 5. Uncheck Enable f you want to hde the moton detecton zone. 6. Clck SAVE to apply changes to the screen. What s Senstvty? Every moton detecton zone s dvded nto multple squares, whch s called Macro blocks. Each of macro blocks conssts n groups of 16 x 16 pxels. The value of senstvty means the senstvty of each macro block. To confgure the zone less senstve than the factory default (128), set the number value hgher; to confgure the zone more senstve than the factory default, set the number value lower A 47

48 What s Object sze? The object sze value means the proporton of the macro blocks whch has exceeded the confgured senstvty. Before enablng moton blobs on the vew, enable metadata of stream n RTSP/RTP s pre-requste. Clck the hyperlnk of GO to RTSP/RTP Confguraton under the tab of Moton Blob. Or refer to RTSP/RTP (multcast or uncast) for the detals. - Show moton actvty : Tck ths opton to show the graph of moton zone. The red lne n the black box helps users ntutvely adjust the Senstvty and ObjectSze parameters whch s usually useful when nstallaton. If the moton s detected, there wll be wrte graph shown. When the whte graph bar matches wth the red lne, whch means the moton zone s confgured perfectly. In another word, f the moton graph exceeds the red lne, an alarm wll be occurred A 48

49 Face Detecton To confgure the network loss event, got to Setup > Event Confguraton > Face Detecton. Face Detecton Zone Confgure the face detecton zones by the followng steps. 1. Check the checkbox of Enable under the Confguraton tab. 2. Check the checkbox(es) of zones you wsh to confgure under the Face Detecton Zones tab. 3. DNS Confguraton Type the IP address of DNS server you use. The data transmtted by HTTPS s encrypted by SSL to strengthen the securty. What s SSL? SSL s the abbrevaton of Secure Socket Layer. SSL protects web server and makes t easy for users to trust the contents. OpenSSL s one of the data securty protocols for Lnux system, whch s used for the product. Settng the port number of web server To communcate wth server by HTTP or HTTPS wth TCP, the port number should be n between 1 and The default value s 80. Redrectng HTTP to HTTPS Even when a user tres to access the server wth http, t s possble to enable the server to be redrected to HTTPS. In ths case, do not set the value 80 as the port number snce t may cause a conflct wth HTTP port. Key establshment may be supported n later versons. RTSP Confguraton for UNICAST Sesson name Type the approprate sesson name. The allowed range for the sesson name s 64 characters wth alphabets, Arabc numbers, and underscore bar(_). Enable audo stream Check ths box to nclude the audo stream n addton to the vdeo stream. Enable Metadata Check ths box to add the metadata. Enable Onvf Metadata Check ths box to nclude the Onvf metadata. Enable QoS DSCP By enablng the Qualty of Servce (QoS) feature, you can specfy prorty level of network traffc for vdeo, audo, and metadata (moton detecton and VCA). For each traffc type, determne the DSCP (Dfferentated Servces Codepont) value, whch represents a QoS class n the Dfferentated Servces (DffServe) model. For the detals about the DffServ standard, refer to RFC2474 and RFC A 67

68 RTSP confguraton for MULTICAST IP Address In order to receve the streamng data from the devce, set the IP address of group whch s used for PC to jon. 0,0,0,0 s confgured as a factory default and t enables router program to generate the avalable IP for the devce automatcally. If you want to use specfc address, type the address n the blank. Avalable IP address range s from to However, there are already assgned IP addresses n the range. Please refer to for further detal. RTP multcast s not allowed for streamng even f the address and the port nformaton are known. How does auto confguraton of IP address work? As the sesson name for each RTP sesson s defned already on the server, your PC can get the stream by the rtsp:// rtsp server paddress : port / rtp sesson name wthout the manual decson of IP address on the webpage. Port Set the port number used for router to receve the streamng data from the product (No need for uncast). The range of the port numbers s from 1 to Be sure that there are specfc port numbers that you cannot use as they are already assgned to other necessary protocols. * Default port number for each stream for each data s pre-defned on the textbox of the webpage, but users can set the numbers wthn the port range. TTL Set the TTL value. If you set 1 for TTL, t means the packet wll pass only n a subnet (No need for uncast). What s TTL? It s the abbrevaton of Tme to lve. If data s sent out from the encoder va network and all of the packets are alve permanently on the network, t wll cause the bg network load. TTL helps reduce the network load by controllng the tme of stayng on network. For example, f you set the TTL as 50, the data wll be deleted after passng by 50 routers. All other optons are the same as the Uncast A 68

69 RTMP For the RTMP confguraton, go to Setup > Network Confguraton > RTMP. Confguraton Specfy the RTMP port, and defne the chunk sze to let the defned sze of data transferred at a tme. For each stream, type the applcaton name of the server that a clent wll access and the name of the stream. Avalable meda types for RTMP are H.264 and 8kHz ulaw mdns (Multcast DNS) For the multcast DNS settng, go to Setup > Network Confguraton > mdns. Confguraton If you check the box of Enable, mdns s actvated. To use the IPAdmnTool to dentfy the devce, mdns must be enabled. You can type a frendly name to be shown on the applcaton program WS-Dscovery For the WS-Dscovery settng, go to Setup > Network Confguraton > WS-dscovery. Confguraton If you check Enable, WS-Dscovery functon wll be actvated. It enables users to browse all the ONVIF supported cameras on the network A 69

Check the DNS confguraton from Network Confguraton > TCP/IP and see f your DNS confguraton s correct. If you use host name, a vald DNS server must be specfed n TCP/IP network settngs. Input range: 128 characters lmt Mal server port Type the mal server s port number wthn the range from 0 to Enable encrypted connecton (SSL) If your emal server requres encrypton process of SSL and TLS, select the Enable encrypted connecton (SSL) check box. TLS (Transport Layer Securty) and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) algorthm can be requred for the securty of communcaton over networks. DynDNS/No-IP/FreeDNS DDNS Settng Type the doman name you want to use for the product and defne the update tme. SD Storage Lst: The mounted devces are lsted by clckng Refresh SD Devce Lst. Detal Storage Informaton: The detaled nformaton of the selected storage devce s dsplayed. The nformaton ncludes devce name, type, total capacty, free space, and devce status. Record Devce Control: allows users to format a storage devce as vfat or ext3 fle system, and mount or eject storage devce that s avalable from the devce lst. ext3 fle system s recommended due to ts reslence aganst data loss n case the card s ejected or f there s abrupt power loss. Class 4 or hgher Class SD card s recommended when recordng hgh resoluton vdeo. To start the recordng, the devce must be connected. Contnuous/Event/None Contnuous Recordng When you select Contnuous n Recordng Type, the menus for the confguraton of contnuous recordng wll appear lke below. Ths mode enables contnuous recordng on an SD card wth AVI format. Recordng storage Optons - Storage devce: SD card s pre-tcked and selected. - Recyclng : Users can select one of the optons when the storage s full. Stop recordng: Stops recordng and keeps the recorded data. Delete fles and recycle (oldest frst): When the storage becomes full, ths opton replaces oldest fles wth latest fles (based on dates) A 79

The avalable ntervals range from o to 600 seconds Seral Port For the USRT settng, go to Setup > Perpheral > Seral Port. The Seral port settng page may not appear dependng on a devce type. Seral port setup These settngs are necessary to allow the telecommuncaton between your seral devces and encoder/ip camera. There are default values set for a new devce but t can be changed dependng upon the devce requrement. Seral port mode - Seral Port (RS485): Ths s used when you want to control a PTZ camera or the seral devce wth the selected PTZ protocol embedded n a devce. For detaled nformaton on the embedded protocols, please see Protocols. - SeralOverIP: Used to enable the communcaton for the devces connected to the seral ports of an encoder SeralOverIP Ths secton s enabled only when you select SeralOverIP for the seral port mode. Select the desred communcaton mode: UDP, TCP Clent, or TCP Server. Once the mode has been selected, type the IP address of clent and port number n the text boxes of SeralOverIP secton A 84

85 If you select the TCP Clent or TCP Server mode, you can set the tme to end the connecton automatcally when there s no data comng from a clent PC to the encoder n a specfed tme. Ths feature s provded to detect an abnormal closure of the socket or LAN cable dsconnecton. Input the desred tme n the tmeout text box. The Status box ndcates the connecton status n the TCP Clent or TCP Server mode. Refer to the followng table and check how the message appears accordng to a connecton status. To confgure the date and tme, go to Setup > Mantenance or Basc Confguraton > Date & Tme. Current Camera/Encoder Tme It shows the camera s recognzed tme. Confguraton Tme zone Select the proper tme zone of where the camera s nstalled from the drop-down box. Daylght savng tme apples automatcally. Sync source Tme on the devce s bascally synchronzed wth Real Tme Clock (RTC) every mdnght or when the devce boots unless NTP server s selected. - NTP server : Check the check box of NTP server f you want to synchronze the devce tme wth the NTP server. Then, the system would synchronze the clock on the devce wth the NTP server every mdnght or when the camera boots. Users can confgure up to four avalable NTP servers at Setup > Network Confguraton > NTP. The frst top on the lst s the default source of the tme (tme.wndows.com). Date and tme format Select the desred date and tme format from the drop-down lst box. 91 Frmware Upgrade To update frmware, go to Setup > Mantenance > Frmware Upgrade and follow the drectons below. Frmware update va the tool To enable the frmware update va the IPAdmnTool.exe, hghlght the devce to upgrade the frmware, and clck Update button. Then, the FWUpdate wndow appears where users can set multple devces to upgrade smultaneously. Refer to the IPAdmnTool User s Manual.pdf for the detals how to update the frmware on your devces by usng ths tool. Frmware update on the web browser To update the frmware on the web browser, clck Browse button and search the frmware fle. If you select the fle to upload, the Upload button appears next to the Browse button. Clck the Upload button to update the frmware. Frmware update usng ONVIF protocol To update the frmware usng the Onvf protocol, please turn on Enable Onvf at Setup > Mantenance > API.! Cauton Remnd that the process of frmware update should not be nterrupted. If the update process s nterrupted(such as by a power outage), the devce wll go nto safety mode A 91

To reset the system settng to the factory default settng, go to Setup > Mantenance > Reset All Settng and follow the drectons below. 1. The checkboxes of network settngs, user account nformaton and tme zone settng are pre-selected. Thus, make sure to select only the tems you ntend to preserve from the ntalzaton. 2.
