4 Definiens XD Release Ntes Overview Definiens XD is a recmmended maintenance release fr all custmers running with Definiens XD 1.0. It cntains many fixes which imprve the verall stability f bth the Definiens Clients and the GRID prcessing envirnment. Custmers wishing t migrate frm Definiens Enterprise Image Intelligence Suite 7 shuld nte that all significant bug fixes frm the v7.0.7 and v7.0.8 are als incrprated int the Definiens XD v1.1.2 release. Custmers running XD are nly recmmended t update if they are affected by ne f the issues listed belw. New Features SDK Extensins Saving the current prject. Setting the active pixel crdinate. Crdinate class. Iteratr class f bjects f specific DMIClass. Access t reprt functinality f the Engine (t enable it). Access t variables. Access t exprt specificatin and current utput path fr results f the prject. Enable DICOM Imprt using the DiaMkWksp tl Bug Fixes Client Fixes Bug Bug Bug Manual Image Object Cut: Cut lines were nt prperly displayed in 3D data sets Changing the perspective shws did autmatically pen the first slide in the wrkspace. This behavir is nw nly active when the TMA Grid View is pened and used. Scene List did nt maintain scrll psitin when pening a prject. Engine Fixes Bug Bug Fixed a crash when using multi-threshld segmentatin n pixel level with image data that defines n-data regins Multi-threshld segmentatin had a slw perfrmance when executed n small bjects in large images. The perfrmance is nw nly dependent n the image bject size and n 4

Bug Bug Due t a bug in 7.0.8, class filters fr image bject dmains were nt deleted fr dmains that d nt supprt them Rule Sets with this incrrect internal settings were executed differently in XD 1.1. The result f algrithm synchrnize maps had a ne pixel shift fr 3D bjects when used tgether with regin. Mving Data and Wrkspaces Bug Update path f prcessed scenes: This functinality did nt wrk crrectly fr prjects cntaining 3D bjects. Bug Paths t thematic layer files were nt crrectly updated when images were mved using the Mdify Open Prject dialg. File I/O Bug Bug Bug Bug Bug Bug Crash when reading.asc files withut file extensin Mirax Driver des nt prperly scale n Multi Prcessr Machines with Mirax Slides having versin 1.8 r lder DICOM images cant be read when SliceLcatin is nt present. T reslve this in this case the InstanceNumber tag will be used. A slice rder check-bx allws t imprt slices with ascending r descending slice rder. Evtex-Flex files with 32Bit data can nt be read. This is pssible nw. Linux Cmmand Line Client did nt prperly generate summary csv file fr the wrkspace. This gt fixed. The cmputatin f the slice distance uses the SliceLcatin tag f DICOM files. In cases were this tag had the same value fr all slices an incrrect slice distance value was cmputed. In this case the DCM_ImagePsitinPatient is nw used t cmpute the slice distance. Grid Stability Bug Bug Bug Exprt paths can get crrupted when testing a wrkspace prgramming ruleset lcally in Develper. The affected rulesets can write intermediate results t the lcal hard disks f the server machines. The append ptin fr csv files exprts culd cause duplicated result entries in case f failed jbs being resubmitted. It gt replaced by a new merge ptin that des nt create duplicated entries in case f failing jbs. In additin duplicated entries are nw remved frm csv files after jb prcessing is finished. Prject names were nt displayed cmpletely in exprted statistics after manual editing steps. This was caused by incrrect strage f prject names by the client. Bug The Cntrl Service n wrker ndes was still called 1.0. This caused the uninstall rutine t fail. The service name is nw set crrectly t Definiens Cntrl Service v1.1" 5

6 Definiens XD Release Ntes Knwn Issues and Limitatins Knwn Limitatins Limitatin Licence Brrwing License brrwing is nt peratinal when brrwing frm a Windws Vista client. Limitatin SUSE Enterprise 10 Service Pack 2 is required t access CIFS munted file systems. Late Changes Default distance calculatin type has been changed frm Smallest Enclsing Rectangle t Center f Gravity. An ptin find uninitialized variables was added t the Find & Replace dialg. When this ptin is enabled all variables that are used withut prir initializatin with the update variables algrithm are displayed in the search result. T prevent unpredicted behavir f rule sets it is strngly recmmended t avid the usage f unitialized variables. Dcumentatin Errata Bug The dcumentatin states that cpy maps supprts cpying f 3D regins. This is nt the case. The dcumentatin fr the regin parameter shuld e: Defines a regin within the surce map. Only this regin will be cpied int the new map (target map).
