CAUTION The nstallaton may be carred out only by personnel specfcally authorzed by Srona. CAUTION It s essental that you swtch off the treatment center PRIOR to startng the nstallaton. CAUTION For reasons of product safety, ths product may be operated only wth orgnal Srona accessores or thrd-party accessores expressly approved by Srona. The user s responsble for any damage resultng from the use of non-approved accessores. If any equpment not approved by Srona s connected, t must comply wth the applcable standards, e.g.: IEC for nformaton technology equpment, and IEC for medcal electrcal equpment. In case of doubt, contact the manufacturer of the system components. CAUTION Any person who assembles or modfes a medcal electrcal system complyng wth the standard IEC (safety requrements for medcal electrcal equpment) by combnng t wth other equpment (e.g. by connectng a PC) s responsble for ensurng that the requrements of ths regulaton are met to ther full extent for the safety of the patents, the operators and the envronment. Ths document descrbes how to nstall the montor and make the electrcal connectons. Installaton of the montor on the lamp support tube A B mm Remove the protectve cover from the montor. 2. Screw the two upper montor fastenng screws a few turns nto the montor (do not tghten completely). 3. Hang the montor nto the openngs A of the support. M4x10 4. M4x " montor 19" montor CAUTION The montor support pvot jont contans a brake adjusted to a hgh brakng force! Once you have placed the montor on the support arm, do not grasp and tlt the montor! Due to the lever acton and the brake n the artculated arm, ths may cause the elongated holes n the support to rp. If you wsh to tlt the montor, you must hold the artculated arm or at least loosely tghten the lower screws B frst. 4. Insert the lower screws B and tghten them slghtly. Tghten all 4 screws securely. M4 Flat washer 5. Connect the protectve ground wre to the montor at the pont marked wth the ground symbol. Contact washer D

The brakng acton must be adjusted usng the screw behnd the left cover cap (as seen from the montor). Make sure not to confuse the power supply cable L40 and the S vdeo cable L7, as the connectors on the two cables look very smlar (the S vdeo cable s the one wth the ferrte core attached to t). The connectors are desgned to prevent ther beng plugged n ncorrectly, but tryng to force them could damage the contact pns. Te up the audo cable E (whch s not used wth the 15" montor) as shown. 8. Reattach the protectve cover to the montor and tghten the screws. M3x8 8. D

14 2 Installng the montor Installaton Instructons SIVISION 3 Installaton of left-handed verson (not C2 +, M1 + ) 2.2 Installaton on the tray support arm Support tube H s always mounted on the nsde of the char (Pos. 2 = rghthanded verson, Pos. 4 = left-handed verson, see llustraton on page 8). for the left-handed verson the cables must be run through to the other sde of the support tube. Dsassemble the Sub D connector housng. Pull the cables carefully back nto the support tube and gude them back out agan on the other sde. Reassemble the connector housng. Make sure there are no knks anywhere along the cables! The descrpton below refers to the standard confguraton (rght-handed verson). 2. D H! Punch Do not use C A B Loosen setscrew B on support tube H. 2. Attach the support tube to the support arm shaft. The support tube must be securely seated on rng D. 3. Algn holes A and C wth one another. The punch n rng D must be n lne wth hole A. Fasten n ths poston wth setscrew B. 4. Remove cover cap V from the cover panel. 5. Ft the rubber rng onto the support tube Thread the cables of the support arm downward and then outward through the elongated hole and then nsert the support tube n the hole. In order to do ths, you may have to remove the connector housng frst. CAUTION Take care not to crush or knk the cables when routng them. 14 D

15 Installaton Instructons SIVISION 3 2 Installng the montor 7. Take 2 setscrews (M6x14) from the accessory pack and screw them nto the chasss. Place the washer and the sprng rng onto screws as shown and screw t n (do not tghten yet). Algn the support tube wth the help of the setscrews and a sprt level so that t s vertcal. Tghten screw S fully. For left-handed versons rotate the support arm so that ts gravty center s shfted away from the char and toward the water unt. båöäáëü S 7. M6x Remove the transport lockng devce. 9. Set the stffness of the support arm usng setscrew B. B 8. Installng the VESA nterface: 1. Snap the cover onto the montor adapter Fasten the VESA nterface to the montor adapter usng 4 M4 screws. 2. D

Ths document descrbes how to nstall the montor and make the electrcal connectons. Installaton of the montor CAUTION The swvel arm must be n the top poston when you nstall the montor. Otherwse, a prestressed sprng located n the support arm could accdentally cause the swvel arm to jerk upward. 15" montor 19" montor M4x10 1. Remove the protectve cover from the montor (no longer requred). 2. Screw the two upper montor screws a few turns nto the montor (do not tghten completely). 3. Hang the montor nto the openngs of the montor handle. 4. Screw n the lower screws. Tghten all 4 screws securely. M4x10 18 D

Adjust the sprng prestress A and the brakng force B of the support arm f necessary. - Release brake B. + A Brake adjustment + B - Adjust sprng prestress A untl the swvel arm moves slghtly upward. - Set brake B so that the swvel arm remans stable n any poston. If you hear noses that ndcate a lack of lubrcaton, move the support arm throughout ts entre travel range n order to dstrbute the lubrcant. The dsnfectant tank need not be removed for mountng postons 1 and 4. In ths case, the cables are run n front of the tank. CAUTION Rsk of cable break! Do not knk the cables! For mountng postons 2 and 3 only 1. Remove screw J and take out the cover and the refllng funnel. J 1. For postons 2 and 3 2. Remove the dsnfectant tank (for DENTOSEPT): - Loosen the rubber hose on the tank - Set the dsnfectant tank down - Separate the sucton hose from sucton valve MV33 3. Place the cables n the water unt and run them along the sde of the flushng tank through the cable te D

L43 (power supply) to ferrte core of power supply unt. The vdeo cables of the C2 +, C4 +, C5 + and M1 + dentst elements are factory nstalled. båöäáëü Runnng the vdeo cables of the assstant element (not for C2 +, M1 + ) The followng procedure steps should be performed only f the SIROCAM 3 or SIROCAM C vdeo camera s ntegrated n the assstant element. Vdeo cables L25, L43, L57 and L5 are run to the area of the connecton box n the same way as the other cables of the assstant element (see Installaton Instructons for the C3 + ( ), C4 + ( ) and C5 + ( ). Assstant sde only: Connect cable L57/X3 to the power supply unt (power supply for the camera module n the assstant element) The sub D connector of XGA cable L35 must be attached to angle bracket W. To do ths, unscrew the two hexagon bolts from the sub D connector (5 mm A/F) usng a par of plers or a socket wrench. L35 W Screw the sub D connector onto angle bracket W usng the hexagon bolts. Fnally check all plug connectons for secure ft. D

To do ths, unscrew the two hexagon bolts from the sub D connector (5 mm A/F) usng a par of plers or a socket wrench. L35 W Screw the sub D connector frmly onto angle bracket W usng the hexagon bolts Attach the audo cable to the housng plate. Fnally check all plug and screw connectons for secure ft. D

50 6 PC connecton Installaton Instructons SIVISION Routng cables to the PC, nstallng and connectng the plugs If the cables are to be nstalled above floor level, please refer to the nstructons for module (cover for cable outlet on dental treatment char). CAUTION Proceed wth extreme care when routng the cables. Especally the XGA cable L38 and the S vdeo cable L15 are very fragle and must never be knked or twsted. The cables must not overlap or cross one another. Both RS232 cable L37 and XGA cable L38 are not yet preassembled at the PC end (t would be very dffcult to pull the cables through when nstalled under floor level f a sub D connector were already nstalled). If possble, these cables should always be pulled (the front end has a wre whch can be bent nto a hook for ths purpose). If the S vdeo cable has a socket and plug, make sure that the socket end ponts toward the connecton box of the treatment center for nstallaton. In ths case, use the ntermedate (pn-pn) adapter suppled. Route cables L15 (not for a second montor wthout a camera), L37, L38, audo and the protectve ground wre to the PC, ether through a cable duct or above the floor, dependng on the ste condtons. Preparng XGA cable L38: 1. Remove the adhesve tape D

Shorten the bradng untl t extends about 1 cm beyond the cable sheath. Cut off the protectve wre D. 4. Pull off the protectve sheath. 4. Indvdual wres The XGA cable L38 has the followng desgn: There are three ndvdual coaxal cables and several sngle wres nsde the outer sheath. 5. Coaxal cables CAUTION Proceed wth extreme care when assemblng the sub D connector. Once a pn s nserted n the wrong hole, t cannot be removed! Ensure suffcent lghtng! Take care to use the shortest path when nsertng the wres! The pns must audbly/tangbly lock n place. 5. Place the pns accordng to the accompanyng pn dagram (see also pn dagram on page 53). Begn wth placement of the three coaxal cables. The wres belongng together (core and sheath) must be nserted n the connector smultaneously for space reasons. Screw the protectve ground wre to an approprate pont on the PC chasss. 2. Run the S vdeo cable L15 n a loop nto the ferrte core ncluded n the scope of supply. Place the ferrte core as close as possble to the connector at the PC end. Then plug the connector nto the frame grabber card (not for a second montor wthout camera). 3. Connect RS232 cable L37 to a free seral port and secure the plug. 4. Connect XGA cable L38 to the graphcs card and secure the plug. The hardware and software confguraton of the PC s descrbed n the document Installaton Instructons and System Requrements for SIVISION 2, SIVISION 3 (REF ). 5. Connect the audo cable to the PC (to the CEREC Charlne PC, f nstalled). CAUTION The audo cable must not be connected to an audo system. It may be connected to a PC only.
