Addig a RP Worktatio to a Stadaloe Avid DS Workstatio We strogly recommed that you make your RP workstatio the cotroller of the workgroup. This offloads the project idexig tasks from the Avid DS workstatio oto a dedicated RP workstatio. To add the RP workstatio as the Cotroller: 1. Isert the Avid DS software CD ito the CD drive of RP workstatio. 2. Select Create or joi a differet DS Workgroup ad click the Next butto. 4. Select allow this workstatio to share, exchage, ad collaborate with those other workstatios ad click the Next butto. 5. Select Joi a existig workgroup ad click the Next butto to cotiue. 6. Do this for all workstatios i the workgroup. Movig a Existig Cotroller to a Temporary Workgroup Sice there caot be two cotrollers withi the same workgroup, you must first assig your existig cotroller to a temporary workgroup so that you ca create a ew cotroller. To move the existig cotroller to a temporary workgroup: 1. O the curret cotroller workstatio, click the Start butto, select All Programs > Avid Products > Avid DS 7.5 > Cofigure DS Workgroup. 2. Select Create or joi a differet workgroup. 3. Select have this workstatio work separately from all the others ad click the Next butto. 4. Eter a temporary ame (example: Workgroup_Temp1) ad click the Next butto. 5. Eter your user accout ad password, ad click the Next butto. 6. If the cotroller is the oly workstatio that eeds to be restarted, the oe or more of the other cliet workstatios may ot remai coected to the Avid DS workgroup. As a result, access errors may occur. If this workstatio is to be the cotroller of a ew workgroup Select Create a ew DS workgroup for sharig, exchagig, ad collaboratig? 2. Eter a uique workgroup ame to which this workstatio will belog, ad click the Next butto. If you have already istalled the cotroller, ad this workstatio is to be a cliet of a existig workgroup Select Allow this workstatio to share, exchage, ad collaborate with those other workstatios?, ad click the Next butto. 2. The accout must be a member of the local admiistrators group ad have a password. t If you are istallig a Avid DS workstatio i a workgroup, eter the logi profile of the user accout that will ru the Avid Media Idexer ad Project Idexer services. You must specify the computer ame before the user id (that is, computer_ame\userid). If your workstatio is part of a Widows domai, the you eed to specify the domai ame before the user id (domai_ame\userid). 10. Click the Next butto. The secod Service Cofiguratio widow displays. t If you are part of a Widows workgroup, the you oly eed the Admiistrator i this list. t If you are part of a Widows domai, the all user ames must be cofigured with the domai ame (domai_ame\userid). If these user accouts are ot cofigured correctly, the the services will ot work. It idexes storage locatios that cotai audio ad video media files to optimize searches of those files. Each workstatio keeps its ow idex table of ay coected storage. Istalls the Project Idexer o oly oe workstatio i the workgroup (usually o the cotroller workstatio). This service idexes storage locatios that cotai Avid DS projects. The Avid Project Idexer ca oly be istalled o oe workstatio (the cotroller) per workgroup. If you are workig with a o-europea, customized Widows operatig system, such as Widows XP Japaese, you ca use the DSFotSettig.exe applicatio, which is distributed with Avid DS Nitris v7.5. You ca use this applicatio to chage the default fot used i Avid DS Nitris dialog boxes or reset it to default. The ew fot is used oly i dialog boxes; meus ad toolbar buttos are ot affected by this ew iformatio. You ca customize the meu fot size through the Widows Appearace tab of the Desktop Properties. 50

51 Istallig ad Removig Fots For o-europea laguages, Avid DS Nitris selects a fot (by default) that comprises the Europea character set ad is part of the character set of the foreig Widows system, such as Widows XP Japaese. However, the chose fot is very small ad does ot display properly, especially i dialog boxes. For regular systems, the default fot for dialog boxes is Arial 11. This applicatio does ot esure that the fot will fit properly i the dialog box. Wheever the ew selected fot is too large for the various text cotets of the dialog box, a smaller default fot will be used as i previous versios. You must be careful to choose a fot that still cotais a Europea character set, sice the displayed text is still Eglish. This ew feature is ot restricted oly to Asia systems; ay customer of ay coutry ca chage the Avid DS Nitris default fot. However, layouts work best with the default fot (Arial 11). Each time a ew fot is set or reset, you must restart Avid DS Nitris before it takes effect. To istall o-europea fots 1. Browse to the C:\Program Files\Avid\DS_7 folder. 2. Double-click the DSFotsettigs.exe file. 3. Whe you sed a job to be processed remotely, your job is routed by the Avid DMS Broker to the first available RP workstatio. Avid DS RP processes the effects, returs the cache media to the Avid DS cliet storages, ad otifies the cliet workstatio whe the job is complete. 64 Chapter 5 Istallig the Remote Processig Software Remote Processig Cocepts Before you begi cofigurig your workstatios for remote processig, there are a few terms you eed to uderstad: Cliet Workstatio: This is the workstatio o which Avid DS is istalled. The cliet workstatio is where the processig request is iitiated. The request is set to the remote processig workstatio, ad the result is evetually retured to the cliet. Remote Processig Workstatio: This is the workstatio where Avid DS RP is istalled. The RP workstatio hadles requests from cliet workstatio(s) ad updates the cliets timelie as each request is processed. RP workstatios support both the Widows XP Professioal operatig system ad the Widows 2000 operatig system. Floatig Licese: The licese for the RP workstatio is located o oe of the cliet workstatios ad ot o the RP workstatio itself. This licese iformatio is appeded to the dogle-based (or odelock ) iformatio i the Softimage.lic file. I this cotext, the cliet workstatio is desigated as a licese server for the RP workstatio. Avid DS RP Workstatio Requiremets The remote processig workstatio must meet the followig requiremets: Supports Widows XP Professioal ad Widows 2000 operatig system. Itel Petium III up (sigle or dual CPU; MMX eabled) or Itel Petium 4. Itel Celero ad AMD processors are ot supported. 1.5 GB RAM 1 GB of hard drive space SVGA moitor with a recommeded resolutio of Network card (100 Mbps miimum recommeded) 64

65 Avid DS RP Workstatio Requiremets Network protocol: All of the workstatios beig used for your workgroup must reside o a etwork that uses the TCP/IP protocol. Each workstatio must be able to see the others over the etwork. OpeGL for 3D DVE: I Avid DS Nitris, oly the 3D DVE layout uses OpeGL. A Avid DS RP workstatio does ot require a OpeGL card to process OpeGL effects. However, these effects will process sigificatly faster if the RP workstatio has a OpeGL card. It is recommeded that you use the same type of OpeGL card i both the RP workstatio ad the cliet workstatio. Network Hardware ad Remote Processig Performace To optimize your etwork hardware ad the performace of remote processig: The recommeded miimum speed of your etwork card is 100 Mbps ad full duplex capability as this speed matches that of the cliet workstatio. Gigabit Etheret is better. The HP xw8000 workstatio uses a o-board Gigabit Etheret adapter. A etwork switch is the best way to isolate the remote processig traffic from a corporate etwork. We recommed a miimum badwidth of 100 Mbps ad full duplex capability, however, a gigabit switch is preferable. For the highest quality compoets, purchase brad ame products, such as 3Com, Cisco, etc. Hubs are ot recommeded. Use 24AGW gauge etwork cable (category 5 ad up). Coectors must be assembled properly, with a miimal legth of ushielded wire o both eds. CPU Usage o Avid DS RP Workstatios I some cases, you may fid that the CPU usage o the RP workstatio or the cliet workstatio is low durig processig. This may be more obvious whe the RP workstatio is a faster machie, ad i some cases the CPU usage may be lower o the RP workstatio tha o the cliet workstatio. This is a ormal occurrece. 65

If the CPU has to wait for the ext frame read from disk to start processig the frame, the CPU usage is lowered. This is ormal, ad it depeds o the effect beig processed. For simple light effects, such as color correctio, the processig is fast eough that the CPU is actually idlig most of the time. This appears as a low CPU usage value. These effects are said to be I/O-boud, meaig that the read/write operatios for each processed frame are more sigificat tha the actual processig. Because Avid DS is fully multi-threaded, the processig itself ad the I/O operatios are doe i parallel. However, if the CPU is idlig most of the time, a low CPU usage value is to be expected. Most ative Avid DS effects support multi-threadig ad, i additio to this, processig jobs ca be divided amog the CPUs available i the workstatio. For example, whe a blur effect is processed o a dual-cpu workstatio, half the frame is processed o oe CPU while the other half is processed o the other. This dramatically improves the overall processig time. Some third party effects (such as all AVX effects) do ot support multithreadig. I these cases, because oly oe of the CPUs is beig used, the CPU usage ever goes above 50%. To verify if a effect is sigle or multi-threaded: 1. Click the Start butto ad select Ru. 2. I the Ru widow, type perfmo to ru the Performace Moitor. 3. Add oe couter for each CPU Time. For multi-threaded effects, the two curves move together while processig. I sigle-threaded effects, they move i opposite directios. CPU usage ca be affected by the RP licese (sigle or dual). A RP licese for oe processor will force the RP workstatio ito sigle-thread mode, ad the CPU usage will ever exceed 50%. CPU usage usually appears higher o the cliet workstatio (if it has the same processor type as the RP). This is because the read/write operatios are faster o the cliet (local storage). As a result, the processor speds less time waitig for iput frames before processig them. 66

Durig istallatio, everyoe i the Admiistrator Group of this workstatio is automatically allowed access to the Avid DS services. t If you are part of a Widows workgroup, the you oly eed the Admiistrator i this list. t If you are part of a Widows domai, the all user ames must be cofigured with the domai ame (e.g. domai_ame\userid). If these user accouts are ot cofigured correctly, the the services will ot work. Istallig Avid Throttle Maager The Throttle Maager is oly required whe you have a Avid DS RP workstatio i your workgroup. The Throttle Maager is part of the Avid DS Services optios ad ca oly be istalled o the Avid DS RP or other workstatio that will be the cotroller for the DS Workgroup. O a Avid DS workstatio, playback, capture, ad output to tape are critical operatios which require guarateed badwidth betwee the workstatio ad its storage. Durig these operatios, the Throttle Maager will pause ay RP 72

73 Istallig Avid Throttle Maager workstatios usig the same storage for processig i order to maitai that badwidth. Oce the playback, capture, or output to tape operatio is complete, the Throttle Maager restarts the processig o the RP workstatios. For istace, if you wat to play back your sequece o the timelie, the Avid Throttle Maager temporarily suspeds ay processig requests to a RP workstatio, or capture or output from/to a deck, to allow for the full badwidth to be used for real-time playback. Oce the sequece playback is complete, the Avid Throttle Maager resumes the other processes. The Avid Throttle Maager also maages the badwidth to shared storage locatios for each workstatio i the Avid DS workgroup. For example, sice a Avid DS cliet workstatio ad a RP workstatio ca share the same storage, the Throttle Maager maages access to shared storages, so that the RP workstatio does t iterfere with the cliet workstatio durig critical times such as playback, capture, ad output to tape. The Avid Throttle Maager must be istalled o oly oe RP workstatio o the same etwork as your Avid DS workgroup. This optio is available whe you istall Avid DS RP. A regular Avid DS workstatio istall will have this optio, but it should NOT be selected. The Throttle Maager is istalled whe you istall Avid DS RP as the cotroller. If you have ot yet istalled the Throttle Maager, choose oe workstatio where the cotroller is istalled ad follow the procedure below. Do ot istall the Avid Throttle Maager o a workstatio ruig the Avid DS software. To add the Avid Throttle Maager: 1. Click the Start butto, ad select Avid > Avid Products > DS Setup. 2. 75 Chapter 6 The Avid DMS Broker This chapter describes how to istall, cofigure ad use the Avid DMS Broker. If you have oe or more RP workstatios i your workgroup, you must istall the Avid DMS Broker as this service directs the remote processig requests withi a Avid DS workgroup. About the Avid DMS Broker Avid DS v7.5 uses the Avid DMS Broker to distribute ad moitor ay remote processig requests i the workgroup. Whe a Avid DS Nitris workstatio submits a job for remote processig, the DMS Broker routes the processig job to the first available RP workstatio. The RP workstatio the starts to process the job, ad reports the progress to the DMS Broker. Whe the job is complete, the RP workstatio copies the processed media (caches) to the appropriate Avid DS cliet storage ad otifies the DMS Broker that the job is complete (You ca view the DMS Web page to moitor the RP jobs.). The caches geerated from the processig are automatically liked back to your curret project. The mai DMS Broker widow displays curret iformatio about the status of the Broker icludig the host ame for the system o which the Broker resides. The DMS Broker uses the host ame to idetify itself o the etwork. The DMS Admiistratio Tool is a Web-based applicatio that is accessed through a browser. It commuicates with the DMS Broker s built-i Web server. This commuicatio allows you to maage Distributed Media Services through a browser from aywhere usig the Iteret.

76 Chapter 6 The Avid DMS Broker System Requiremets The DMS Admiistratio Tool performs two types of fuctios: Provides detailed iformatio based o lists of jobs, ecoders, profiles, ad users. Provides cotrols for maagig ad cacelig jobs, ad creatig or deletig users. The DMS Broker software should ot reside o the same computer as Avid DS. The DMS Broker software may be istalled o a RP workstatio, as log as it is a dual-processor machie. The DMS Broker rus o Widows 2000 or Widows XP. If you are usig a Avid Uity shared storage i your workgroup, the the DMS Broker is oly qualified to ru o Widows Istallig the Broker The DMS Broker requires the followig miimum specificatios, ruig a Widows-based operatig system: Petium III class processor 1.2 GHz or faster 512 MB of RAM 800 x 600, 16-bit display Microsoft Iteret Explorer 5.5 or later c Do ot coect the applicatio key (dogle) to a USB port util you istall the DMS Broker. To istall the DMS Broker: 1. Put the Avid DS Nitris Software CD i the CD drive of the workstatio desigated for the DMS Broker. 2. From the meu, select Avid DMS Broker. 3. 77 Istallig the Broker Attachig the Applicatio Key w w The applicatio key, also kow as a dogle, allows the DMS Broker software to ru o your system. It also lets you access oly the umber of RP workstatios for which you have purchased liceses. Make sure you istall the DMS Broker before coectig the applicatio key (dogle) to the USB port. To attach the applicatio key: 1. O the workstatio that will ru the DMS Broker, locate a available USB port. 2. Coect the USB dogle to the USB port. 3. Widows automatically detects a USB dogle SuperPro device. The Foud New Hardware Wizard displays. 4. Keep the Istall the software automatically (Recommeded) optio, ad click Next. Raibow USB SuperPro is detected ad istalled by Widows. 5. Whe the Completig the Foud New Hardware Wizard dialog box displays, click Fiish. Do ot lose the applicatio key. Your DMS software does ot fuctio without it. If you lose your applicatio key, you must purchase aother key from Avid. Cofigurig ad Startig the DMS Broker After the DMS Broker applicatio key is istalled, you ca start the service. The istallatio process automatically creates a Admiistrator accout. You do ot eed to add ay Avid DS users as these will automatically be created whe a user seds a processig request. To start the DMS Broker: 1. Click the Start butto, ad select Programs > Avid > DMS Broker. 77

No-admiistrators ca see ad edit oly their ow user s page. Whe usig Media Browse, a user must be created which matches the Media Browse user desigated for DMS. You may customize your view to show oly your jobs, to show jobs for a specific service, or to show oly jobs i a selected state. To customize the Jobs list: 1. Ope the DMS Admiistratio Tool. For more iformatio, see Usig the DMS Admiistratio Tool o page 82. The Jobs page displays by default after you log i to the DMS Admiistratio Tool. 2. I the Cotrol frame of the Jobs page, click the Service list, ad select a service. 3. Click the User Name list, ad select All Users or a specific user ame. Requestig a Licese File To ru Avid DS, you must have a valid licese file, as well as a software protectio key (Flexid dogle) coected to your parallel port. Avid DS will oly start if the dogle idetificatio umber matches the iformatio i the licese file. If you already have Avid DS Nitris v7.x, you do ot eed a ew licese. To request a licese file: t Ope your Iteret browser ad go to to submit a licese request. You must provide all the iformatio requested i order to obtai your licese i a timely maer. Avid DS Customer Service does ot geerate permaet liceses. However, if your licese is icorrect or if you have t received it withi 72 hours of your request, Customer Service ca geerate a limited oe-week licese. Your reseller must validate the request.

100 Chapter 7 Licesig Avid DS ad Avid DS RP Creatig a Valid Licese File Oce you have received your licesig key from Avid DS, you ca create a valid licese file o your cliet workstatio. Each workstatio eeds its ow licese file. If you purchased Avid DS RP (for remote processig), your licese file will also iclude a floatig licese for all your RP workstatios. This floatig licese must be added to the licese file o oe of the Avid DS cliet workstatios, NOT o a RP workstatio. This workstatio will be your RP Licese Server. To create ad validate a licese file o your Avid DS workstatio: 1. O the Avid DS workstatio, click the Start butto ad select Programs > Softimage Products > Licesig > LicTools. 2. If your Avid DS workstatio is operatig o its ow, the the storage cofiguratio is simple. You just eed to cofigure the storage device(s) coected to your workstatio. If your Avid DS workstatios are coected i a workgroup, you ca share media located o your storage device, ad also use media o storage devices that belog to other workstatios i your workgroup. Cofigure the appropriate storage devices for each workstatio (local ad remote). Later i this sectio, you will lear how Avid DS uses the idexig services to maage these storage areas more efficietly.

I a workgroup eviromet, the locatio of your media ad projects ca make a big differece to your performace ad processig times. For istace, if you are workig i isolatio o a project, the havig the related media o your local storage gives you real-time playback of the sequeces. O the other had, if you are workig o the same project with other Avid DS workstatios that eed access to the same media, the it would be more efficiet to store the media i oe locatio (such as o Avid Uity storage). You save o storage space as there is o redudacy of media o each workstatio. Whe sharig media with storage areas coected o a etwork, there may ot be sufficiet badwidth to provide real-time playback of the media. A Avid Uity storage, however, does have eough badwidth to hadle real-time playback. Poits to cosider whe sharig media: Oe workstatio, preferably the cotroller, should hold all projects ad take care of the idexig ad processig services. The Avid DS idexig services will be cofigured to idex media o all coected storage devices (icludig workspaces o Uity). If your workstatios are sharig Avid Uity storage, the each workstatio usig this storage must have a fibre-optic cable coectio to the Avid Uity system (for optimal performace). If may workstatios are workig o the same project ad will be sharig the same media, the you should place all media o oe storage device. 104

These services actively moitor ad idex the storage areas that you ve defied to allow for improved performace, better sharig of media across a etwork, ad better iteractio betwee Avid DS ad a Avid DS RP (remote processig) workstatio. The Media Idexer ca maage media of differet formats, such as video, audio, source, cache,.ge files (the ative Avid DS format),.omf files (the ative Symphoy ad Media Composer format), ad.mxf files (idustrystadard format that ecapsulates media ad productio metadata ito a sigle file). Each workstatio has its ow media idexer which idexes the audio ad video storage areas o that workstatio. I a workgroup, the Project Idexer works with the media idexig service o each workstatio ad keeps a upto-date idex of the locatio of all media. So, for example, whe the Purge commad is executed from ay workstatio withi the Avid DS workgroup, the correct media for the selected project is purged. Examples of differet storage scearios i a workgroup, ad explicit storage cofiguratios for each of these scearios have bee described earlier i Sharig Storage Areas o page 104. Cofigurig Storage for your Workstatio The storage areas for your media are cofigured withi your workstatio s media idexig service. If you eed to defie additioal storage areas, you must add them to your media idexig service. The media idexer will idex all the storage areas defied i this service cofiguratio. If you eed to access media o aother workstatio, you will eed to add that workstatio s media idexig service to your storage cofiguratio see Accessig Storage o aother Workstatio o page 115. Importat ote for MXF media exchage: Avid DS Nitris requires separate storage areas (oe for audio ad oe for video) to create MXF media. Therefore, you should create separate folders ad workspaces for audio ad video, before cofigurig the storage areas i Avid DS. For example, \\Uity\allocatio\workspace\mediafolder. Do NOT use a drive letter. 7. Select the Eable throttlig for this storage optio if you are workig i a workgroup where a Avid DS RP is istalled. The Avid Throttle Maager allows for more efficiet badwidth maagemet betwee your workstatio, storage areas, ad the Avid DS RP workstatio. 8. Select the media type that you will store i this folder: audio or video. For regular Avid DS media, select geeric audio or geeric video. For MXF media that ca be exchaged with other Avid editig systems, select MXF video or MXF audio files. For OMFI media that ca be exchaged with other Avid editig systems, select Noe. This is a read-oly storage. You ca also select Noe if you wat media i this storage area to be viewed, but ot overwritte. 114

115 Maitaiig your Storage Locatios 9. From the Disk Cotroller Type list, select the card that is istalled i your workstatio. If you are cofigurig a remote storage, the select CIFS Network. 10. From the Disk Storage Type list, select the storage type that you are usig. The disk optios set the appropriate badwidth for Avid DS to use whe trasferrig data to the storage. You may choose Geeric Adapter ad Geeric Storage but these settigs may ot fully utilize badwidth available to you. Therefore, choose the appropriate optios for your storage device to obtai the best performace for real-time effects. If your storage device does ot appear i the list, it may be because it was istalled after Avid DS was istalled. To make sure that it appears i the list, restart Avid DS so that the software detects the device. 11. Click OK. The storage area is added to the Media Storage Cofiguratio list. 12. Click Close ad the OK to retur to the Media Storage Cofiguratio - Workstatio dialog box. 13. Click the Close butto to save the cofiguratio for the media idexig service. By default, the media idexer sets ay ew storage areas to automatically have full read/write access by ay user o the etwork. To restrict access to your media, you ca chage the share permissios through Widows see Sharig Folders ad Settig Permissios o page 135. The first time that you cofigure your storage, the media idexer will eed to idex the media o your storage device. This may take a while depedig o the amout of media o your storage. Accessig Storage o aother Workstatio A media idexig service is defied for every Avid DS workstatio i the workgroup. To access media o aother workstatio, you eed to add that workstatio s media idexig service to your ow storage cofiguratio. (It is more efficiet to coect to the media idexig service o that workstatio rather tha directly to its storage area.) 115

If the storage where this media resides is ot already cofigured o your workstatio, Avid DS will automatically add a media idexig service for that storage i your workstatio s storage cofiguratio. To add a media idexig service: 1. Select Data Maagemet > Cofigure Storages. The Media Storage Cofiguratio - Curret Project dialog box is displayed with a list of existig services. Your workstatio s media idexig service 2. To add a ew service, click the Add butto. The Available Storage Types dialog box displays. 3. Select Avid Media Idexig Service ad click OK. 116

Maitaiig Disk Space o your Drives To prevet problems, you should keep at least 10% of the disk space o each drive free at all times. Whe you ru Avid DS, it creates two iteractive cache files o the Video Storage drive. These two files (DS_iteractive_cache.tmp ad DS_iteractive_cache.tmp.lowres) ca use up as much as 500 megabytes of your video storage area, ad are madatory for Avid DS. If there is t eough available space for these files to be created, the system performace will drop dramatically. You may eve experiece a system failure. As a first step, you should purge uecessary media files from the system to allow Avid DS to work properly. For more iformatio, see Defragmetig Media i the help. c If your disks are gettig badly defragmeted, you ca also perform a defragmetatio o the disk drives.you ca use third-party software, or the Widows XP Disk Defragmeter utility (o XP workstatios) to defragmet your disk drives. Do ot defragmet your drives while Avid DS is capturig, outputtig, or processig media. You should ot defragmet your disks too ofte. 118

Hard drives of differet sizes caot be striped. For example, you ca stripe eight 73-GB drives or eight 146-GB drives, but you caot stripe six 73-GB drives ad six 146-GB drives together. If you attempt to create a stripe volume from o-avid drives, Avid makes o guaratee that the stripe volume will perform to Avid specificatios for your applicatio or sequece. Cosequetly, Avid DS Customer Service will ot be able to support ay system issues caused by the o-avid drives or the stripe volume. Oce the drives i your disk array have bee upgraded to dyamic disks, you ca create the stripe volume. To create a stripe volume: 1. Log o to the system usig the local admiistrator accout ad close ay applicatios that are curretly ruig. 2. Right-click the My Computer ico ad select Maage. The Computer Maagemet widow opes. 3. If ay of the workstatios are cofigured with two active etwork cards, the Avid idexig services require small modificatios to work properly. 1. Ope the C:\Wit\slp.cof file with the Widows Notepad applicatio. 2. Locate this lie at the bottom of the file: ;et.slp.isbroadcastoly = true 3. Remove the semicolo (;) character. 4. Save the file ad restart the workstatio to reset the idexig services. Sharig Folders ad Settig Permissios The Avid DS Setup program creates folders to hold project data ad media files. By default, these folders will iherit security permissios from the paret folder. I a default istallatio, these folders are automatically shared, ad the default permissios give full access to everyoe.
