2 The SEPCOS PRO range s a hgh-tech generaton of protecton and control relay that satsfes the most demandng safety requrements applcable to DC electrcal power transmsson networks. Ths range of protecton relays ncludes the SEPCOS-PRO whch s the basc verson, the SEPCOS-PRO-S6 whch ncludes an addtonal I/O card n order to perform addtonal command functons and the SEPCOS-PRO-SD whch s the devce used to retroft the old Sécheron s protecton relays. SEPCOS PRO range s a powerfull electronc system based on several mcroprocessors. It s used as a protecton and control unt of an outgong feeder cubcle or rectfer unt n DC tracton substaton of publc transport, such as streetcars, underground ralway, commuter trans or trolley buses. SEPCOS PRO range s development s based on the safety requrements of the ralway standards EN / EN and EN SEPCOS PRO range s stand alone, modular and easly adaptable by software. Moreover, t s wdely opened to modern communcaton equpment. It delvers network communcaton (Modbus RTU) and seral lne montorng facltes (RS232). Man features Basc system, autonomous system based on mcroprocessors 4 dfferental analog nputs for measure and analyss of the current and the voltage of the tracton lne. 3 Typcal applcaton of SEPCOS PRO/S6 Wth many command and protecton functons, SEPCOS-PRO/PRO-S6 satsfes the needs of DC electrc tracton networks such as outgong feeder cubcle or rectfer unt. SEPCOS-PRO/PRO-S6 s used for montorng tracton network segments and for loggng events. It analyzes the current gradent and voltages through cyclc measurements at the supply pont of the substaton to the catenary. The measurements are made va electrcally solated transducer (for example the solated amplfers type MIU 10 or VM10 developed by Sécheron). 5 Graphc dsplay and user nterface 8 multpurpose LED Status LED The dsplay module s a smple, modular and user-frendly montorng tool that collects the nformaton avalable from the SEPCOS. It s ncludng the modfcaton of the SEPCOS parameters (Settng protectons, Command parameters, etc.). 6 Optonnal functons Cable nsulaton fault detecton In DC tracton applcaton, power cables bult wth metal shelds must be protected aganst hgh touch voltage. Ths protecton must be actve when a dangerous contact voltage or a hgh current appear on the sheld n case of nsulaton fault. The system s desgned to detect a leak current ether between sheld and conductor or between sheld and earth. If a fault occurs, actuaton of ntertrppng out sgnal can be selected. The settngs for ths functon can be adjusted wth the SEPCOS-I software. Power and energy Ths functon calculates the energy transported by the feeder. The value can be reset to zero or adjusted through ts parameter. Permanent montorng of the voltage of the crcut breaker (Ul) and of the lne current (Ul). SECPOS-I : Control and parametrzaton software The software SEPCOS-I s the nterface PC program to confgure and read the SEPCOS data. Ths software allows n partcular to: Modfy the protecton parameters and the command parameters of the cubcle. Transfer on a PC the nformaton recorded by the SEPCOS Download on a SEPCOS the nformaton (parameters) recorded n a PC Show at real tme the analogcal nputs value and detecton result. 8 Retroft of old Sécheron s protecton relays (SEDEL and DDL) : SEPCOS-PRO SD Snce the 80 s Sécheron has delvered thousands of protecton relays type SEDEL or DDL all over the world. SEDEL and DDL protecton relays are no more produced. To contnue to nsure the protecton of nstallatons, mprove t and keep the relablty of the substatons, SECHERON developed a retroft kt to replace SEDEL and DDL devces. The objectve s to replace SEDEL and DDL devces by a hgh technology devce already nstalled n many projects and whose relablty s recognzed. Ths devce s based on the SEPCOS-PRO protecton relay, wth the reference SEPCOS-PRO SD, t reproduce exactly the SEDEL and DDL behavor. The nstallaton s made wth a Plug&Play kt based on modern Sécheron s solated amplfer that does not have a bg mpact on the actual schematc of your nstallaton. It brngs new protecton functons for your nstallaton and a convval nterface to manage the devce and analyss ts behavor.
