S TP Scheda tecnca STEKEF2TP_EN KNX devce for swtchng, controllng and vsualsng functons of a home or buldng automaton system through a 3,5 touch-screen and a 2-fold pushbutton. It may be used n KNX nstallatons for control of homes and buldngs. RFLEKEF2TP Rockers Three-postons rockers wth central neutral poston have to be mounted on the pushbutton. Pushng one sde of a rocker (for example the upper one), the pushbutton sends on the bus a telegram for swtchng on, ncreasng the brghtness of lumnares or rasng the blnds, whle pushng the other sde (for example the lower one), t sends a telegram for swtchng off, reducng the brghtness of lumnares or lowerng the blnds. Each channel s equpped wth LEDs whch can be freely programmed as status feedbacks of the loads and as orentaton nghtlght. Descrpton eknex Touch&See s a KNX S-Mode devce for swtchng, controllng and dsplayng bus functons. It s equpped wth an ntegrated KNX bus communcaton module and s desgned for wall nstallaton on a flush-mountng box. Through a 3,5 touch-screen and a user nterface organzed n a sequence of graphcal pages, t s possble to control and montor KNX actuators and dsplay nformaton receved from KNX actuators and sensors n a smple and ntutve way. The devce can also operate as a room temperature controller recevng values for up to four ndependent zones thanks to the temperature value measured by the ntegrated sensor and/or by temperature values receved by KNX temperature sensors. The ntegrated 2-fold pushbutton (max. 4 functons) allows on/off swtchng of loads, dmmng of lghtng devces, controllng of motor drves or other programmable swtchng and control functons. The devce s powered by the KNX bus lne and requres an auxlary power supply 30 Vdc SELV. Versons The devce s avalable n two versons that dffer for the LED colours. Frame The devce s completed wth a rectangular frame of the form (EK-FOR-...) or flank (EK-FLR-...) seres. 2 Functonal characterstcs (touch-screen) The devce (touch-screen) can be programmed to carry out several functons as: room chronothermostat for 4 ndependent zones; ON/OFF swtchng of sngle loads or groups of loads; dmmng of lghtng devces; control of motor drves (for roller shutters, blnds, curtans, etc.); dsplayng of the status of auxlary contacts (from safety/securty devces, etc.); dsplayng of tme and date of the nternal clock or sent by a KNX tmer; dsplayng of values receved by a KNX wheather staton such as temperature, wnd speed, ran presence, brghtness, etc. dsplayng of alarm messages; recallng and savng of scenes; sendng on the bus of values (temperature, brghtness, etc.); lockng of the functons through password; temporary block for screen cleanng. Graphcal pages The Touch&See unt offers a seres of man graphcal pages that can be accessed n sequence for swtchng, controllng, montorng or dsplayng bus functons of the room n whch t s nstalled or other rooms controlled by the same KNX nstallaton. The followng graphcal pages can be enabled: home (drect access to the other pages) room temperature controller (4 ndependent zones); swtchng and control (2); calendar; meteo nformaton; multmeda; servce functons (presence smulaton, tmer, alarms). Drect access Each graphcal page may be drectly accessed through the home page whose con s present n the vertcal left strpe. Languages Text and labels of the graphcal pages are avalable n four languages: Englsh, German, French and Italan. The language can be selected confgurng the devce wth ETS. Note. The set of functons that may be controlled as well as the nformaton that may be vsualzed by the devce depend on the KNX bus devces connected to the bus nstallaton and the confguraton carred out wth the ETS software tool. The graphcal pages not enabled are not vsble whle scrollng. Programmng pushbutton and LED are only accessble from the rear sde of the devce. It s better addressng the devce before the fnal assembly of the frame. Once the addressng has been done, the devce confguraton can be later downloaded wthout pressng the programmng pushbutton. address; e) mount the devce () on the metallc support suppled (3) wth the screws (5). For a correct mountng of the devce follow the ndcaton TOP (arrow tp pontng up) on the rear sde of the devce; e) snap the two rockers (4) for the operaton of the devce. If the TOP ndcaton s respected, the correct mountng of the devce s confrmed by the poston of the termnal blocks: bus termnal (red / black) on top rght, auxlary power supply termnal on bottom left. The devce can be nstalled on a round or square (dstance between fxng holes: 60 mm) or rectangular or rectangular 3-module (dstance between fxng holes: 83,5 mm) flush-mountng box. If necessary, the metallc support for mountng on the wall box can also be ordered separately usng the code EK-SMR. Mountng of rockers For the mountng of the two rockers on the dedcated seats, the fxng elements have to be algned vertcally. On the devce can be mounted only square 40 x 40 mm rockers (EK-TSQ-...). Mountng The devce has degree of protecton IP20, and s therefore sutable for use n dry nteror rooms. The nstallaton of the devce requres the followng steps: a) fx the metallc support (3) wth the screws suppled (6) on the wall box (7) provded wth sutable fxng holes; b) snap a square frame (2) of the form or flank seres, nsertng t from the rear of the devce (); c) enter the bus termnal, prevously connected to the bus cable n ts slot on the rear sde (see also: Connecton of the KNX bus lne ); d) enter the auxlary power supply termnal, prevously connected to the correspondng cable, n ts slot on the rear sde (see also: Connecton of the auxlary power supply ). At ths pont t s recommended to carry out the commssonng of the devce (see also Confguraton and commssonng ) or at least the download of the physcal Mountng not allowed (fxng elements horzontally algned) 3

4 KNX bus + - DCEKEC2TP For the connecton of the auxlary power supply to the Touch&See unt use preferably a cable wth a sheath n dfferent color than the cable connectng the KNX bus lne and label the two cables to allow a clear dentfcaton after the frst nstallaton. For the auxlary power of the devce t s recommended the use of the eknex bus power supply EK-AG-TP that s provded wth a dedcated output Devce used as room temperature controller Through a dedcated graphcal page, an EK-EF2-TP Touch&See unt can also be used as a room temperature controller for up to 4 ndependent zones. For the regulaton process the temperature value can be measured by the ntegrated sensor and/or receved va the bus by up to four KNX devces provded wth a temperature sensor. If the temperature measured by the ntegrated sensor s used, for an optmal regulaton the devce must be nstalled preferably on an nternal wall at a heght of.5 m from the floor. The devce has not to be nstalled close to heat sources such as domestc applances or radators; postons where the devce may be subject to drect sunlght through glass surfaces have to be avoded. AUX 30 Vdc + - mn 0,3 m Warnng The electrcal connecton of the devce can be carred out only by qualfed personnel. The ncorrect nstallaton may result n electrc shock or fre. Before makng the electrcal connectons, make sure the power supply has been turned off.,50 m Connecton of the KNX bus lne The connecton of the KNX bus lne s made wth the termnal block (black / red) ncluded n delvery and nserted nto the slot of the housng (7). These actvtes must be carred out accordng to the desgn of the buldng automaton system done by a qualfed planner. Product code Note. The confguraton and commssonng of KNX devces requre specalzed sklls. To acqure these sklls, you should attend the workshops at KNX certfed tranng centers. Confguraton For the confguraton of the devce parameters the correspondng applcaton program or the whole eknex product database must be loaded n the ETS program. For detaled nformaton on confguraton optons, refer to the applcaton manual of the devce avalable on the webste Applcaton program (## = release) Communcaton objects (nr. max) Group adresses (nr. max) Warnng The connecton to the devce of an auxlary power supply wth voltage dfferent than 30 Vdc s not allowed. In order to supply the KNX bus lnes use only KNX bus power supples (e.g. eknex EK-AB-TP or EK-AG-TP). The use of other power supples can compromse the communcaton and damage the devces connected to the bus. EK-EF2-TP APEKEF2TP##.knxprod Commssonng For commssonng the devce the followng actvtes are requred: make the electrcal connectons as descrbed above; turn on the bus power supply; 4

5 swtch the devce operaton to the programmng mode by pressng the programmng pushbutton located on the rear sde of the housng. In ths mode of operaton, the programmng LED s turned on; download nto the devce the physcal address and the confguraton wth the ETS program. At the end of the download the operaton of the devce automatcally returns to normal mode; n ths mode the programmng LED s turned off. Now the bus devce s programmed and ready for use. Protecton password Wth a password the devce can be protected - totally or partally - from unauthorzed use. The password s set whle commssonng the devce. Marks KNX CE: the devce comples wth the Low Voltage Drectve (2006/95/EC) and the Electromagnetc Compatblty Drectve (2004/08/EC). In order to avod the unntentonally actvaton of functons whle cleanng the screen, the devce provdes a specal functon block for cleanng. To actvate the lock functon: recall the servce page; select the functon Cleanng. For a tme nterval of 30 seconds the devce gnores any contact wth the touch-screen. The dsplay ndcates the remanng tme for cleanng. At the end of the tme nterval, the devce automatcally returns to the servce page Rectangular frame of the form seres (EK-FOR-...) Warnng For the actvaton of the screen you can use your fngers or a specal ponter for touch-screens.
